@loxloxxos5253Күн бұрын
Amorim actually plays 5-2-2-1, where the point is that the opponent is pushed to the sidelines when in possession of the ball, he wants the opponent not to be able to easily cross the midfield. The backs play in midfield when in possession of the ball, and when they lose the ball they close to the back line and it becomes 5 at the back. This has a disadvantage that when possession is forward, most Manu players are behind the ball. This system requires an enormous amount of running power. This way of playing puts the attacker on an island, and his fellow players have to connect quickly. This means that the attacker must play on possession of the ball and wait for fellow players. This can become a problem if the opponent plays 1 on 1 at the back, as there is only 1 real attacker. This setup is only successful if you consistently play high in the opponent's half, I'm curious to see how it turns out.
@Bloodnok4915 сағат бұрын
"this system requires an enormous amount of running power". i.e. athleticism. Being a top class athlete puts your body under immense stress and ultimately the fitter you get the more chance there is of something (injury/illness) coming back to bite you in the arse! So it's no surprise that athletes get injured in major athletic tournaments. But it is arguably worse for PL footballers, because they are being asked to keep up levels of athleticism for a whole season with up to approx 60 matches. As Guardiola noted, there are too many matches. The human body can only do so much. Playing a whole season in 4-4--2 would be demanding; playing a whole season in the PL. But 3-4--3 with 'gegenpress' or a variant of it is suicidal. PL means you are the cream of the crop, the very best there is. Chances are that means that you will train harder than anyone else and play more minutes than anyone else. You've probably also been around the scene for a while so have more miles on the clock. Whilst on the one hand you are maxing out your fitness levels, which is great, you're standing right on the edge of a cliff that will see you falling into an abyss with either an injury or illness. Exercise is good for your health but if you want to be an elite athlete you need to recognise that you are going to push your body to the absolute limit and sometimes you're going to break -- the injury list for top clubs is not a condemnation of the players or their medical teams - it is a danger signal that you can only go so far.
@loxloxxos525312 сағат бұрын
The technical football players generally have less effort when it comes to making dirty yards. While the less technical football players show more commitment and are more willing to run dirty yards. Rasford will have to work hard, otherwise he will end up on the bench. This system is very dependent on the collective, the team is more important than the individual, we will see who drops out.

Ten Hag lacked identity. Always sitting back even for the smallest teams. Whichever player is not able to fit into this style should be shown the way out. Just going to pick up Howson on his waffle about the 93/94 team playing 4-2-3-1, absolute nonsense. It was a 4-4-2 with Cantona dropping slightly deeper. Keane and Ince were both box to box at this point, and Giggs and Kanchelskis were pure wingers, not inside forwards. I am a Utd fan btw, but that guy talks utter drivel sometimes, but a 4-2-3-1 is astronomically different to a 4-4-2

@FullTimeDevils Picking up the ball in certain positions is irrelevant, he was a deeper forward, not a number ten. The wingers were also wide men in a four, not high inside forwards with 2 holding midfielders. Ferguson later employed a 4-2-4 where both wide men were essentially forwards, and he also utilised 4-3-3 towards the last few years of his reign. Been watching utd since 1992 mate

@@FullTimeDevils I respectfully disagree. Eric used to run beyond the defensive line all the time looking for the ball over the top - Bruno never does that. This formation won't work😂😂😂if it was good don't you think Guardiola would have used it by now😂😂😂😂

Are you under the impression the only good tactic is the one guardiola uses? Do you not think there are any other good coaches that use a different tactic other than the 433? For example inter Milan have been pretty dominant recently under inzaghi using a 343/3412, xabi alonso went unbeaten last season in the league and got to the europa league final playing 343 the team that beat xabi alonso was Atalanta that play 343/3412, then you’ve got our new coach who was unbeaten in his league and beat city 4-1 in champions league. Why are you so confident it won’t work? just because guardiola doesn’t use it.

Mad how short our fan base memory is....we saw all these videos 2 years ago when ten hag came in, the players bought into it for a season and then the same old players did the same old shit and here we are again trying to make out like the next man is going to do better.
