Im very much appreciating your content, thx to you I was able to make mining bot behaviors for from your video "from Scratch". I made my own Healing behavior bots, Mining behavior bots, I used your Janitor Behavior bots, I need to use signal transmitters or receivers, cause I still have to move them around when they clean out their radar range. But I was Really Scared to tackle Combat, Thats really Impressive mate, prolly gonna try my hand at it, and if I get too frustrated just use yours, LOL. If I have anything of a challenge to throw your way, it would be that I saw someone in Factorio have a base that built itself, it started by one square section then spiraled other square sections round each other as it expanded... Not sure If that makes sense... But I tried to explain it... Base that Builds itself once you hit Play on the command center for example. Wow this was way longer than expected, But Love the content, and totally want to see more !!!

Hahaha yea I saw that self-building video, I think it was Nilaus that either made it himself or showcased it. Really impressive stuff! I am 100% sure you could do something similar in this game if you made the program complex enough, but that would be a VERY long program. Also, healing bots, good point! Those have been on my list forever but I never got around to making some! Do yours seek out their targets by themselves?

@@TheDutchActuary They have nearly the same program as the Janitor Behavior, so If I add the Signal receiver/transmitter, they should. I just havent messed around with them yet, so like my janitors and other bots that I havent added Receivers/transmitters, I have to manually move them and change Storage once they clear out their Radar zone. But today or tomorrow gonna be trying the Receivers/transmitters and pretty sure once I have them setup all over grid and in bots, it should work.

15:15 i believe there was a scout function. u can have the unit scout a couple of time before notifying u r out of ore

also tried this deconstructor bot but my bot started to just delete all my owned buildings lol that was a oopsie

Can you make your little outpost scan for enemy's and when that is clear have them scan for loot? Like a "it is safe now" signal? so you only need to program once.

Do "scattered resources" count as dropped items? I'm having a hard time getting bots to go after that stuff.

Turns out they do. Not sure what I had wrong, I just cleared the program and built it step by step and tested it until it started going after them. I was trying to get one to only pick up specific dropped items. Ah well.

It should pick up pretty much anything that isn't supposed to be mined, and that isn't in storage - But it seems you just found that out ;)@@dasshaker2372
