For those that have been with me on my journey to reach my dream of building an 800 horsepower svt cobra, today we reached a pinnacle! After many failed attempts to get a block built here in San Antonio due to part delays, I set off to Houston to get my build done by Roy. Today is the day we travel 2 hours for my 1000+hp fully built block! LET'S GOOOOO!!!!

Crank pulley is a must. The amount of money you’re spending you CANNOT cheap out on that. I myself use ATI Super damper. So I hope you’ve taken the time to really clean up the engine bay since your motor is out of the car.

True. But yeah we aren’t there yet as you can see in the video we haven’t even pulled the motor.

So say you have 2001 cobra what would you have to do internally to the engine for it to withstand 1,000 + hp?

Idk anything about those motors so I couldn’t answer that with facts BUT I will assume pistons, rods, hardware and definitely change compression ratio depending on what kind of boost you will run. Best bet is to call a good mustang shop and have them guide you.

The point is not to just replace it but to upgrade it from the issues it later causes.

​@@SOLODRIVENI'm not going to say it's not an upgrade but I mean that balancer probably was the original one which was 20 years old and has been through multiple climates If someone is truly on a budget they can just get a stock one and not have to pay the upgraded high dollar amount tag they're both a option
