Honestly the longer I've been in this game the more you realize a lot of stuff is just superstition. like break in's i used to take weeks to break them in "correctly" but to be honest many times I just slap em together and send it straight to the dyno after the first oil change and driving around the block ect.

Hey John a little tip for when your pulling your motor out and reinstalling . I usually like to leave the harness still on the engine when I pull the motor . It makes it so much more easier to reinstall because everything on the motor is accessible. Next time around just disconnect the plugs from the left and right fire Walls .

Just a little tip its a lot easier to plug the harness in while its out of the car and drop it in all together same with taking it out just disconnect and reconnect from chasis plugs 🙂

If your Turbo has provisions for cartridge water cooling lines you will most definitely want to use them. They are there for a very important reason!

Always liked NA builds over turbo builds even when it comes to a d-series, but yeah definitely make sure the engine is good before boost or you might find out too late...

Never let a fresh motor idle too long the first 20 minutes of a fresh build. Using break in oil is the best way because it has high mineral content to help seat rings! Just a recommendation.

That day was dope I was doing lots of hwy pulls dialing in the boost on my Veloster N (GTX2868 yo!) Woulda rather been on the bike but it’s still in the fkn shop. Was supposed to be back 2 weeks ago. Been there since late dec when it left me stranded on a cold ass night with flurries starting. Took over 2 months to get a crank sensor due to the plandemic .. yup they blame everything on it

That clutch has no more than 600 miles on it and it’s an ACT clutch. Not clapped at all.
