That sounds about right on the price. I went the same route and said the same thing, BUT I built my engine to learn how to tune and for competition. Thinking back when I started this journey I didn't know anything about tuning, now I know more than the circle of friends I have. They actually come to me for ECU tuning now. The skills and KNOWLEDGE!!!, I gained from it is priceless. I wanted to help myself now I can help others. To be honest that feeling will go away and when you look back at what you built you will appreciate it . Thank you for sharing your journey I look forward to the next build.

Sure you can buy the a similar setup for half of what you spend, but thats bought not built. Some people won't ever get to experience the journey it takes from ground up and some won't care for it. This is what's going to make the car special for you, is that you spent the time, effort and money on her. Been down that path and i think its worth it 100% even if its just a b series. #Respect

I always find it fun reading all the key board warrior comments on how they could have easily built it for much cheaper. But we all know those are the people driving basically stock cars with ebay air filters and mufflers. Building a car right is not cheap. Getting all the right hoses, fittings, bolts, misc gaskets, clamps, pipes, adaptors, etc adds up quick. Then factor in the labor required to put it all together. I know most mechanics charge $100 per hr to work on cars.

Been in the Honda game for at least a decade. Always wanted to do a Ls/Vtec Turbo monster the right way. Finally I’ve got my hands on an already properly built longblock. I’m so excited, I don’t even physically possess it yet and I’m plotting on the transmission build. Hah if I didn’t have multiple cars to use it in and extra swap and turbo kit parts I wouldn’t waste my time, but there is a huge catch. I’m trading wrench time so zero money is invested in my end to initially get the longblock (&tones more). Just mileage on my daily. I recently discovered your channel due to my new resurrected craze. Back then I thought, NO WAY could I afford this. Still to this day kinda, but I found a major loophole. I got so many projects I might just finally start my own channel. I’m a 31 year old poor ass Northern Michigan Honda nerd. I’m seasoned for sure with all this stuff, but at times there is still some random “rookie” moments. I can’t believe the views, ect all these little Honda channels reel in. Y’all definitely work hard for it... geez look at Kyle... You sir are 100% paying to play. I hope it eventually comes back around for you man. It’d be cool to meet you, I’m thinking about bringing my car down there for a tune. Do you know RCAutoworks? Same evaluation as my local.
