A consequence of learning as I go. The GYK vid was the first that figured out my newer condenser mic. Prior to it, I had a dynamic mic and needed to project my voice like crazy to make it sound decent. I definitely understand the infomercial sentiment. Thanks for the feedback!

I haven't played this game in over 6 years. Don't know if this method still works but last time I played was on a server with my older brother and his friends. We had a shared base at first before we all started making our own close by. The enterance to my base was a hole in the ground covered by hatch in the center of a simple 5 by 5 by 5 building surrounded by nothing but this massive field of spikes. They use to poke fun at me because rather then exploring the surrounding areas i spent 90% of my time underground, only coming up for water, wood and food. They assumed I was just making a massive mine-shaft. It wasn't until the first night everybody decided to stay in their own base my brother's friends realized they full extent of what i had been doing all that time. I remember that after a first few hours after the horde begun, two of my brother's friends (lets call him Matt and Mike) started freaking out when they realized their defenses they had set up failed and the zombies where now actively ripping apart their base. They're running around, shooting and trying to repair their walls as fast as they could when i bust through their floors and order their asses to get down in the hole as i reinforced the surrounding floor blocks before placed a reinforced hatching down. They where shocked to find out not only had I made a re-enforced escape tunnel under their base, but my "mine shaft" was actually a series of reinforced rooms, tunnels and choke points leading under to everybody's base in case anybody found themselves overrun. And on top of that i had dug my base just deep enough that the zombies won't start digging but would still try to follow me and i would spend the night running around my base while the zombies would try to follow, impaling them self on the spikes above.

I haven't played much with underground horde mechanics myself, I tend to like being up high. I've always wanted to build an underground base :) It's always fun to see that first horde strike when newer players are completely unprepared for it. It can get hectic, especially on a team when your combined strength makes the horde more difficult. Good job being ready!

@@Eggsceptional Update irl night two - Getting a sledge, a bunch of building blocks, and cheesing enemies with a basic defensible spot for the first couple days in the wasteland to grind some levels and spec into sledges worked well enough. Sledgehammers aren't specifically the best weapon or anything, but I went knives the first time and the stuns/knockback are useful. Not gonna pester you with loads of updates but worth saying "Oh this actually works" since I got my feet under me lol, thanks for the tutorial and entertainment man.

@@ailithtwinning6806 No worries! It sounds like you've definitely got your apocalypse legs under you at this point :) I've been wanting to revisit a stealth spec with the new armour sets. I think a bow/knife spec might be a little insane in the late stages of the game. But the strength tree is my default, usually clubs instead of sledges though. I'm too impatient for that swing time ;)

If I'm not mistaken, the land claim block prevents zombie spawns and reduces the block damage depending on your settings

I think you're correct, it prevents POI zombies from respawning. This behaviour is doubled by the bedroll, but LCB also allows you to pick workstations back up. Outside of multiplayer I think that's all it does? I always get my bedroll/land claim block mechanics confused. Good looking out!

Honestly I find long form videos for this type of content much better. I can stick it on in the background, to fall asleep, clean, or grind other games to. Granted, I didn't always feel this way, and used to watch a lot of multi episode let's plays, especially as a teen or in college. Life changes, we grow older, and that lends itself to different content we consume. If I'm sewing, one long video requires less disruption than a playlist of many videos that the Chromecast likes to randomly disconnect. It's all up to preference in the end.

Oh? 7 Days to Die is now finally fully released? No longer early access? Maybe I'll have to give it another look, been years since I last played and the game has changed dramatically multiple times over the years Legendary parts to be able to make max level gear is a nice change 1 hr 57 min in about the reinforced areas to try and stop zombies from digging their way in-that was a change i absolutely hated when they made it so zombies can ignore a whole bunch of things and magically know where you are and dig straight towards you if you're underground or built a reinforced area, them being able to bash down concrete and other materials that are supposed to be extremely strong just irritates me since they break through far too quickly Very cool video series and seeing how the game has changed nowadays to the most recent versions

If I recall correctly it was released July 21 of this last year. Legendary parts were an incredible addition, I hated not being able to craft T6 gear before. I'm not sure when in the resurrection process the zombies were giving engineering degrees, but here we are. Thank you :)

@@Eggsceptional I guess I'll have to try and see about making defense bunker setups like you did where it's a single file path to a partially blocked off area to whack/shoot the zombies with since it seemed incredibly effective, but generally I try to zombie proof my buildings as much as possible so that they're safe even passively when I'm out exploring and stuff is being built/forged in the base. I think that I remember seeing people say that the game devs seemed to go out of their way to prevent people from being able to actually be able to make safe areas with things like sabotaging previously effective methods of staying safe via mechanics changes or removals, or stuff like zombies being able to dig straight down and detect you wherever you are on horde night and laser in on structural weakpoints when they shouldn't be able to know what and where those are The last time I played was sometime mid 2019, so a huge amount has changed since then. The updates to the traders and questlines, as well as stuff like the visual indicators via skulls of area difficulty seem like very nice changes. I did reinstall the game and will see about giving it another go sometime soon, see about getting the last few achievements which is some stuff like maxing a few stats and other things since I got all the other ones back in 2019

Hmm it depends on how I'm playing. For stealth - definitely a compound bow/crossbow if I'm lucky enough to find one. Generally though, something like an AK provides an "oh shit!" fallback for any spec

Some I do, but the ones valued at 160 sell reasonably well. The ones that only sell for 50 I read, and by the end, I was reading them all :)
