I’ve had my epicenter since 2006 and it’s still currently pushing my system nice. I’ve switched out my PFM module from the original 33hz to 20hz module. Nice job on this video.

The way i understand the bass output jumpers is. They limit the voltage going to your amp. Meaning. If you have a 5 volt output head unit but your amp has a 2 volt imput. Putting the jumper to 2.5 will limit the signal voltage to 2.5. The epicenter is not a line driver. It doesn't increase signal voltage. It can just limit it. That's what i understand from what I've read. Kicker has a pretty good writeup on it.

@@SQ_Silverado I've had an epicenter for awhile now but never installed it. Iwanted to understand it better before using it. Still uncertain about how it restores bass. Wether it drops fundamental notes an octave or if it's using actual harmonics in the music to restore the missing fundamental notes. Today I put it in and it's nuts. Totally agree with you on the wide set to half way or less for better sounding bass. I've only got to mess around with it for about a half hour but for my setup so far. 12 o'clock on the sweep and between 12 and all the way down on the wide sounds best. My box is tuned to 32hz.

@@SG-Cichlids remember to only implement the epicenter with music that is lacking those bass notes .. hip hop or rap you will blow your subs if you engage the knob.. and I think your correct, it picks up on those lose harmonics .. read the patent, it’s available online open source breaks everything down

@@SQ_Silverado I listen to a lot of 90's with some 80's. When you say don't use it. Do you bypass the epicenter or just turn the remote knob all the way down?

@@SG-Cichlids turn the nob all the way down and you’ll be fine

I don't understand in the manual. Does the light blink on the unit to show that the output is maximized? Or is just for visuals?
@SG-Cichlids4 ай бұрын
@SNWxGaming the light blinks when it's doing something. The more it blinks or more intensely it blinks the more it's doing. Some people will tell you all the way turned down it's off or doing nothing but that's not true. Songs with heavy bass turn it so the way down, for regular songs set it at 9 o'clock, for songs with no bass or no low bass 10-11 o'clock. Anything past that be careful your sub and box tuning are up to the task. If your box is tuned above 35 hz personally I would not use the epicenter. Also turning the knob up or down will not effect your gain setting.

Nothing wrong with the Planet audio, Soundstream or Power Acoustik Bass restorators. The only quality difference I can see is Audio Control knob is better build, with a metal enclosure. If you wanna spend extra for that, go ahead. but some of those mentioned brands have better features like variable subsonic filtering right their on the remote knob. I own & love A.C. Epicenters. But it's a 1 trick pony that hasn't innovated much to stay ahead of the competition. They only have brand loyalist like the guy in this video. I have an original P.G. Bass cube, and it's more suitable for todays 808 heavy trap beats. You try to run 808 heavy trap threw an epicenter, and it will make it sound worst in most cases.
