Berti discusses his recovery journey from compulsions, depersonalization, being alone, and intense anxiety symptoms. Berti is now traveling the world.
⭕Download the Desensitization Blueprint: byebyepanic.clickfunnels.com/...
In the interview, Berti discusses his journey of recovering from anxiety. He emphasizes that one of his main challenges was the intense focus on his anxiety symptoms, which he later realized needed to be released rather than fixated upon. His most significant symptoms included compulsions to write down his thoughts, which became overwhelming and hindered his daily activities, and a pervasive fear of being alone.
Berti also experienced derealization and depersonalization (DPDR), intense anxiety, and physical symptoms like head pressure. Over time, by understanding more about anxiety and adopting a less intensive approach to dealing with it, he found significant improvement and was able to live more freely. Berti is now traveling the world, something he felt he was incapable of doing during his anxiety struggles.

I know it is a tough phase everyone. I just wanted to leave this comment here so hopefully it inspires someone to never give up. I promised myself I would do it when I get better. Honestly, 5 months ago, every moment of my life was painful to the extent that I was completely lost. However, using Shaan's videos and some courage that I built on the way, I can say that I am much better(almost there). It takes some time to go through the setbacks. Who knows, maybe one is expecting me tomorrow. But I just don't care anymore, there's nothing to be scared off. It could be faster or longer for you, just remember to be strong

Shaan, could you make a video about the relationship between anxiety and 'doomscrolling' - reading news articles or searching for posts that contain disturbing topics - and how to overcome? It's pretty interesting because some contents of press coverages might give you information on serious worldwide issues, and those may tend to trigger anxiety - as if it seems like you're facing the threatening situations even when the news contents themselves pose no direct threat at all. In my case, I once saw an uncensored footage of war ongoing in other country from social media post and it was so vivid and that sensitized me so much. Someone even say that such contents may cause vicarious trauma mentally.

The question isn’t about you getting triggered by something, but more importantly. How you responded to it. I teach solutions that are universal. It’s important for the viewers to be able to apply it. I can’t realistically make a video on every isolated situation people experience.

Ok, sir. Then, instead, could you tell me your thoughts on the relationship between anxiety and weight 'gain' (instead of weight 'loss', ironically)? Many people with anxiety seem to experience weight loss, but my case showed weight gain.

Isn't it true that therapy or programs that help "rewire" your brain work? How do we know who it's for and who it's not? I'm in this state that both of you went through. Very extreme. But it seems EMDR and other stuff does work for many people? I'm having trouble knowing if I should keep seeking therapy or join Shaan's program. Because they all cost a lot of money and my performance is very limited because of this anxiety struggle, I just want to make the right move. I mean...what about specific thoughts, deep negative core beliefs, specific traumatic events that trigger an anxiety and panic cycle?

I’m in the same boat. I don’t agree with some of the anxiety approaches to not address trauma as that can be at the root of it. Idk 🤷‍♀️
@AdamGbl95
@AdamGbl95 11 күн бұрын
@Waves353 yeah I say go by science and what makes the most sense. EMDR definitely works for many people. EMDR involves "facing" and desensitizing your reaction to the event or thought by facing it mentally and reprocessing it in a "safe place". And if what shaan teaches isn't true, like... you can just keep driving even with a panic attack and you'll be safe which isn't true. (You can drive with anxiety and up to a certain point). But there's definitely more to. Dr Caroline Leaf, one of the biggest critics of alot of mental health issues, has found that are brains are complex and every thought is a physical structure that affects everything, and triggers/ symptoms are warning signals that something needs to be addressed mentally. I suggest checking her out. Maybe shaan's approach is for those who had anxiety and panick from nothing specific🤷
@Waves353
@Waves353 11 күн бұрын
@@AdamGbl95 agree, especially with driving. I can drive with panic and anxiety but not the full attacks that seemingly if you respond correctly, will dissipate in seconds or a couple minutes. Caroline leaf is great but brain a bit to addled to absorb. Trauma itself as well as prolonged high levels of stress do actually change brain structure

@Waves353 Yep. Went from being able to drive the truck all over the country and over any mountain to freaking out over small hills and bridges. Like a vertigo feeling. My head is scrambled too and it's taking a ton of work. My problem is I overthink everything nonstop and way too attached to thoughts but I feel my thoughts don't work lol. I recommend the Dr Leaf's neurocycle program. Especially if you do it with a facilitator you can find on her website. That is where I made at least some progress, and uncovered a ton of things. It even got me to actually find my birth father lol. Her facilitators seem like great people...they help with the neurocycle but also almost like therapy too. You can get a free 30min consult with any of them. The girl I worked with for a whole was very understanding and helpful. About to try someone else that I like better who has more experience. Anyways, it's definitely worth a shot and a little cheaper than Shaan's program.

@@AdamGbl95No. Acceptance works. Assuming your anxiety is "different" will certainly keep you stuck and looking for the next answer. Anxiety needs to be approached using "Occam's Razor" , the more complex of an explanation you try to make for it, the more lost in the maze you will become.

hey man, i have no idea what to do, I am feeling super instensed emotions, i dont know how to help myself, i have no idea how to overcome this state, my family thinks that i am crazy. I spent over a year in the house trying to get rid of all of that. Didn't achieve anything. Lost around 15 thousand pound, and here I am year later, with no money and hated by the family and more intense symptomps than ever. I tried to do all of that ignore my symptomps but no matter what I do it always comes back to me even stronger, and I ended up in that vicious never ending cycle. Can't do anything right now. I was leaving my house, I was trying live my life but I never felt any relief whatsoever. This is so exhausting. I never felt like that in my life. I don't know what to do anymore, I was considering ending up my own life because of these symptomps but I am too scared to do that. How can I get back to living? can anybody help I am begging you all. thank you very much for any help or tips

For me, I’ve found that trying to urgently find relief is a big roadblock for me. Instead of trying to face my anxiety, I try and run from it. Even when I was doing exposures, I was trying to hurry up and get back to safety. I’ve been trying to really slow down my urgency to get better. It’s really not about getting better, even though I really want that. It’s living one day at a time and dropping the stress of expectations. Using each day to face at least one thing that can allow me to feel discomfort just enough to process in a calmer and healthier way. I had trouble walking to the end of my driveway so each day, for as long as it took, I challenged myself to just do that. Then went around the block and then around the neighborhood, each time telling my anxiety I know it wants to keep me safe but there’s no reason for alarm and making sure to not go back home right away but finding enough courage to finish going around the block. I still have a long way to go and my family is frustrated as well but we have to focus on our recovery to get through it and be better for ourselves and family. You’re not crazy. Your nervous system is on high alert and needs to learn we are safe. False alarm.

Develop a relationship with Jesus. Anxiety is uncertainty over the future and Christ is the beginning and the end and holds everything in between. Get to know scripture and have other believers around you to help and affirm the truth of God’s word with you. Hope this helps
