Good job! MFG Boat Co. (molded fiber glass) made some very sweet boats. It's good to see a 55 year old boat being good as new. I personally would rather have your boat than a new comparable model. Too many things to go wrong on the newer ones and the styling isn't what it was in the 50's and 60's.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to get basic parts for a 1968 mfg Westfield custom 16'? Just picked one up about a week ago. Already have a used 75 Mercury lined up to slap on it. Just have to work out the steering. (From the pully to the piston)

I have same boat. Working now on transom replacement. Have a question.....Where did you find the rubber trim that goes under the dash and around the boat on the inside? Also the black rub rail material on the outside.

I'm restoring a MFG now. It has over 200 screw holes in the deck, dash and transom. I'm also replacing the entire transom.

I restored a 64 and the windshields are impossible to find. however i ended up taking my original windshield apart and i bought a sheet of poly-carbonate from a local plastics company to replace it. i traced out the sheet with the old windshield and cut it to fit. once the old windshield was out of the frame i bent the new sheet in and screwed it into the frame. looks brand new

Just got a mfg nearly identical to yours, right up the road on Isle of Palms. I will be performing a splash test at Shem Creek, same as you. Perhaps we will spot each other on the water one day. Great looking restoration btw!

As Poolanator75 asked, were did you get your windshield done? Just bought one and even though runs beautifully, it doesn't have the windshield. Also want to restore it to it's original status as far as I can get it. Thanks!

I’ve got a blue 64 12’ That has been restored. It has a 70’s Mercury 40hp engine that needs a little work. I should have it on the water this weekend. My dad also a blue 65 but it’s a 17 footer. The hull looks awesome on that one.
