thanks man! means alot. works for now until i can get a bass boat 🚤

You've probably figured this out by now but you can attach a length of bungie cord to the top of the motor and to the frame to assist in deploying the Xi3. Run it inside the coiled motor wires. Nice vid by the way! Picking up my new Outback tomorrow. Your vids were extremely helpful, thx.

Nice ! Planning to put a trolling motor on my outback too

Totally worth it! You might think a bow mount would bog down the front of the outback but it still handles chop really well. Spot lock and fish is game changing.

So many ProAngler setups on youtube, but I'm a Outback guy through and through. This setup is crazy congratulations! Questions for you : is that the regular xi3 or the shortened kayak version ? And do you feel like the front of the kayak is brought to low and close to the water because of the motor (heard that comment a lot around when Outback are geared out with a xi3) ?
@losangelesbfs Жыл бұрын
hey thank you my fellow outback bro! haha yes the outback i feel is the perfect platform to fish from! This motorguide is the kayak version! 36” shaft i believe. And i feel like the front kayak is uneffected by the bow mount. i think my gear in the back and my body weight balances out the yak. On full throttle from dead stop you will feel a small torque pull but it just feels like youre peddaling fast af!

Sheesh got the clean setup on the rig . Did you speed up footage when the yak first took off ?

hey bro!!! thanks for watching my videos loyally. youre the best bro 🥲. and no, thats the actual speed of the motor!!! let me get you into fishing bruh bruh honestly you live in the best spot for bass fishing. wish i couldve taken advantage of it when i lived in the midwest

Thank you for the video. I am looking at the Outback and want a similar set up. Would you buy everything again or go with a different kayak?

after owning the 2021 outback for two years i can conclude it's a great fishing platform in its simplest form. Its very stable in rough water/wake/chop/wind. BUT in my honest opinion in terms of what I like to do (just bass fish), this kayak starts to lose that appeal of being the ultimate sea/ocean handling kayak. The outback starts to feel bogged down and lacking the hull space needed for more mods. I fished my outback the other week just with the graph, pedal drive, and a tackle crate and wow did it feel light and maneuverable! If I could do it all over again I'd just go with a PROANGLER14 for more deckspace/room to add more mods. If youre fishing in the ocean, hands down I'd stick with the outback minus the weight of the xi3 and 100ah battery. Good luck brother

Nice setup! I have a 2019 Outback. I’m curious on what you think about the stability of the whole setup? Any big difference between with and without the motor? Also have you traveled through rougher wind conditions with it?
@losangelesbfs5 ай бұрын
hey thank you brother! its definitely stable! i dont feel any difference with or without it. And Ive been through 20mph winds on a big lake with white capped swells, i would not recommend even without the motor. Overall its probably the best mod you can do if youre a fisherman!

Any issues with having that much weight on the bow of your Outback in rougher waters? I'm planning to add one to my Outback. I fish near shore is swells up to 3'. Nothing beyond that, my stomach can't take it.
@losangelesbfs10 күн бұрын
@@coreyweinheimer5027 after a year of owning it..ive done 20mph winds and cresting chop on big lakes, its O-K. i dont really trust it, but i imagine even a bigger kayak owner would feel the same way. i say do it, fishing is no fun anyway 20mph+ winds.
@coreyweinheimer50274 күн бұрын
@@losangelesbfs I just ordered an autoboat gps system. It's much cheaper and motor + autoboat is about 30 lbs compared to 44 lbs of Xi3. We will see how it goes. Thanks for your input.

Can you show me how you rig up that measurement board?
@losangelesbfs Жыл бұрын
yes i can bro! i took the hobie hrail mount plate www.amazon.com/Hobie-H-Rail-Mounting-Plate-84622001/dp/B00QH86PHG/ref=asc_df_B00QH86PHG/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312134475503&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11199662580147675322&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030957&hvtargid=pla-569049739160&psc=1 i had to drill into it. then i took the snipe air industries mounting bracket for the ketch board, and screwed it into the backing! it was kind of a pricey project but looks and works great. also trailer my yak with the board on and doesnt fly off going 100mph

Au lieu de lancer les poissons que tu ne prends pas tu devrais les poser avec douceur . Imagine un instant que tu tombes de 10 metres de haut dans l'eau et sur le ventre .
