Lowrance FS series to the HDS series will control the XI3 with NMEA connectivity. The adapter is $150 and works better with the Lowrance compass/gps puck. You can follow contours, way points, patterns, spot lock speed, etc from the screen

The NK180 is fast as heck, BUT you don't have any GPS options (position-lock, following a path, etc) or any remote control options. I really like that the NK180 will float over logs and stumps, but it just doesn't compare to the features of the Xi3.

Thanks. I actually sold my torqeedo to get Xi3. I'd much rather have the spot lock capability.

Good video as usual, I'm not a fan of trolling motors on kayaks but to each his own. I would rather get a motor for the stern , seems like the trolling motor on the bow would get in the way, but that's just me.

I've had both and prefer the ability to have spot lock. I have hit the motor on a cast once or twice

Super late but go to powerwerx.com. Youll want the SB50 boot with cover(source andj load side) and the SB50 housing and contacts

How fast can you go? How long does the battery last? Need a SITREP on that 🙂

4.5 - 4.8mph depending on wind. The battery will last all day but I also haven't made any crazy long runs either.

You went with a 60amp breaker? Why that over a 50amp?

Yessir. Comes off in about 10 seconds
