Almost picked up one of those blue slims locally for 70usd. The guy gave me his address and I said I'll depart in a second. They ended up selling it when I said I was on my way. It's fine cause I was kind of unsure since I really didn't want that model. The universe works in mysterious ways.

I really recommend ordering Vita from Japan instead. Condition will be very good and hacking the Vita by yourself is very straightforward.

easy but there's a alot of people that are not well versed in tinkering , everyday you will encounter people wiped the data or bricked they're console in reddit.

The loading time is down to the size of the sd card you have in it. The bigger the card the longer it'll take to load/ read the card

I've got one of each in my collection, both modded. I prefer the original for actual gaming, although the fact there isn't enough on board memory in the original to store the files needed to mod it, causing you to have to buy a rather expensive proprietary memory card, is a small pain.

Actually no longer required, you can replace NEAR with Vitadeploy and then partition a 1gb internal memory card on the OLED Vita models. I just did it this week on mine.

I got the complete one from sumo and it came super broken. Like when I try to play psp it gives error messages. Also some of the roms are bad but that’s a tiny gripe. I have another one from them that doesn’t have the double memory and it’s great so I dunno what happened. For the price it seems they don’t have good quality control. But the presentation is great, I’ll give you that.

I have to admit, I bought one of these from the Sumoshopstore and at first was impressed with how new it looked. Unfortunately it was unusable with stick-drift and kept freezing on boot-up screen. I did eventually get a refund, including my return postage, but it wasn’t entirely hassle free. Just be aware especially if in the UK.

DO NOT BUY from SumoShop..they sent me a Vita with a d-pad that doesn't work properly and they won't send me a return address,Their customer service is terrible.I've opened a dispute with PayPal.

disable "rebuild database" at startup. The console will never freeze again. It will boot much faster. when you want to update the list of games in retroflow do it directly from the retroflow app (it will take a little longer than "rebuild database" at startup, but it's worth it. if you now find yourself in a stuck situation, at startup press the playstation button and R1 (maybe even "start" I don't remember to enter the provisional mode and do the "rebuild database from there). I always suggest disabling it later

if it doesn't start with "rebuild database" just do "restore" then remove and insert the SD card

The OLED screen is so much superior to LCD, it isnt even close. Would of liked to have a slim with an OLED. Perfect combo

My oled I mainly use at home I bought a case for it with r2 and l2 For streaming my PS4 and playing PlayStation one games my slim model is the one I take on the go I can’t say which one I love the most I think both of them have charm in their own way

I recently bought a ps vita 1000 500gb upgraded but it hasent even shipped I checked the order tracker and nothing how long did it take for you to receive yours?

I ordered one and just got it, takes between 12-14 days, but there is bad flooding in China right now. it took my courier 5 days to get it to a distribution center and it did not update status that it was moving. Took a day or 2 to clear customs. Then landed in the states via air took another day. Took 2 days to clear customs. Then 4 days to get to me.

Shame your OLED model don't work as I have it and the OLED screen is amazing. As someone previously mentioned I highly recommend ordering direct from Japan and doing the hack yourself as it's almost noob foolproof.

Have 2 slim and 4 oled...oled is better, only downside is proprietary charging port vs micro usb Comlete unlock takes 30mins now without pc

To fix the loading issues on the OLED. 1: remove the game cartridge when off and boot it up. 2: once loaded shut it down 3: add cartridge 4: power back on Should be good to go ❤ I love the VITA and sumo shop is amazing. I actually purchased a r36s from them as well. Will return again 🎉

​@@WickedGamerCollector alright so I worked with sumo and was able to fix the problem. We figured out the issue is with retroflow plugin starting when you turn the vita on the 512 gb card is hard for retroflow to load. We were able to disable it on startup through vdep and the issue is resolved. Also you can update retro flow to the latest version helps as well. Now to get into retro flow I just have to click the bubble. ❤

@@gingersbeer1how did you disable it through start up? I’m having the same issue where it gets stuck on the loading screen, but when I go to the start up menu, I see the restart device and restore database etc which one did you pick? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

@@JayJay-n4r well it's hard to explain because I ended up factory resetting my vita lol but I contacted sumoshopstore on my phone from the site and used that chat to get connected with customer support. They have a step by step guide to fix it. But I had to got into vita deploy find the file that starts retroflow and put a # in front to stop it. If it's freezing I did do the rebuild data base but that did not work. I ended up having to take out the cartridge, start the vita. Go to the browser replace near with vita deploy. Launch vita deploy (aka vita shell) and change it in there. Wasn't too bad with technical support.
