YEEEEEES SIS! As a graduate of Ophelia Devore, I commend you, you did everything I was taught. One thing I wanted to add, I am banquet server, and one thing that drives me crazy is open seating dinner parties. Ladies, I understand that people want to pick and reserve their seat. Please don't tip the chair forward over the table. 1 that is so dangerous for servers, we look up the majority of the time, and we can miss those chair legs sticking out, and we can be badly injured. 2 it makes the room look horrible. If you and your party want to claim a seat, just take the napkin from the table, and drape the napkin on the back of the chair. Thank you sister for teaching this. Oh I wanted to add about the sucked in tummy. IT TAKES PRACTICE! But once mastered it helps so much with posture. Ladies all those poses she taught you, and a sucked in stomach you'll always look elegant, and you will never take a bad unexpected picture again. ❤️😘❤️😘❤️

As the years have rolled on, comportment/etiquette lessons were taken out of the classroom. I see the lack of social training all around me and I find it irritating. Especially with my young African American women. One of my pet peeves, is seeing a woman (young or old) entering a room LOUDLY, drawing attention to herself. Thank you Fumi for todays lesson. Sis Fumi I’m a 63 years young woman who enjoys taking care of myself. Self- care gives me confidence wherever I am, under any situation, and makes me feel good. That said, I’ve noticed that the ladies of younger generations amongst my family and friends are somewhat lackadaisical about their presentation. These same ladies all have Mamas that have never taken the time to teach their daughters how to practice self-care. Could you do an episode about the benefits of self-care, and presenting yourself in the best way. Especially for younger ladies starting out in their chosen careers, and starting to date more established, professional people?

I told him that you have a video on how to properly walk in heels. I told him there is an art to it, a lot of teenage girls first time in heels is at the prom. More often than not they buy some shoes to match their dress and don't consider the height and how long they will be wearing them. Thank you for being our fabulous Auntie and sharing so much with us. This is such a wonderful video. And so needed right now. Good manners and etiquette are soft skills we seem to be losing... You just reminded me so much of my first Form Teacher. I am lucky in that my high school teachers were very much old-school ladies, several of whom were graduates from British Universities. From the first day we were taught how to sit, stand, etc. There were over six hundred young ladies at that school and we stood for the entrance and exit of teachers for every class/period. Six hundred plus standing and sitting at approximately the same time and you'd never hear a chair drag.

I agree also! Women use to rebel against those names, especially when the rappers first started calling women those names. However, women adopted the attitude, that if you can’t beat them, join them. Now BW started accepting all those terrible names for themselves. But I’m a firm believer that you become who you keep saying you are. I believe if you repeat that you’re a Ho and a Bitch enough, you will began to demonstrate some of those traits! Because we become who we say, we are! Words carry the power to create and manifest things. Anyway, Fumi’s teachings are so needed nowadays!!☺️👍🏽
