If we look around us, we see a lot of masculinity in the world. Which can then become our only perspective of how to behave and what to do, how and when. That's why these channels teaching us how to be feminine women are so important. We are taught to get it like a man everywhere we look. We need these videos. Thanks Fumi. ❤️

YEEEEEES SIS! As a graduate of Ophelia Devore, I commend you, you did everything I was taught. One thing I wanted to add, I am banquet server, and one thing that drives me crazy is open seating dinner parties. Ladies, I understand that people want to pick and reserve their seat. Please don't tip the chair forward over the table. 1 that is so dangerous for servers, we look up the majority of the time, and we can miss those chair legs sticking out, and we can be badly injured. 2 it makes the room look horrible. If you and your party want to claim a seat, just take the napkin from the table, and drape the napkin on the back of the chair. Thank you sister for teaching this. Oh I wanted to add about the sucked in tummy. IT TAKES PRACTICE! But once mastered it helps so much with posture. Ladies all those poses she taught you, and a sucked in stomach you'll always look elegant, and you will never take a bad unexpected picture again. ❤️😘❤️😘❤️

Love you for teaching these lessons. As a young woman (I'm now 61) I was taught all of this in school! Yes, school. As the years have rolled on, comportment/etiquette lessons were taken out of the classroom. I see the lack of social training all around me and I find it irritating. Especially with my young African American women. One of my pet peeves, is seeing a woman (young or old) entering a room LOUDLY, drawing attention to herself. Thank you Fumi for todays lesson. Keep it up!!! You are loved here in Indiana.

Sis Fumi I’m a 63 years young woman who enjoys taking care of myself. Self- care gives me confidence wherever I am, under any situation, and makes me feel good. That said, I’ve noticed that the ladies of younger generations amongst my family and friends are somewhat lackadaisical about their presentation. These same ladies all have Mamas that have never taken the time to teach their daughters how to practice self-care. Could you do an episode about the benefits of self-care, and presenting yourself in the best way. Especially for younger ladies starting out in their chosen careers, and starting to date more established, professional people?

More often than not they buy some shoes to match their dress and don't consider the height and how long they will be wearing them. Thank you for being our fabulous Auntie and sharing so much with us. This is such a wonderful video. And so needed right now. Good manners and etiquette are soft skills we seem to be losing... You just reminded me so much of my first Form Teacher. I am lucky in that my high school teachers were very much old-school ladies, several of whom were graduates from British Universities. From the first day we were taught how to sit, stand, etc. There were over six hundred young ladies at that school and we stood for the entrance and exit of teachers for every class/period. Six hundred plus standing and sitting at approximately the same time and you'd never hear a chair drag.

I agree also! Women use to rebel against those names, especially when the rappers first started calling women those names. However, women adopted the attitude, that if you can’t beat them, join them. Now BW started accepting all those terrible names for themselves. But I’m a firm believer that you become who you keep saying you are. I believe if you repeat that you’re a Ho and a Bitch enough, you will began to demonstrate some of those traits! Because we become who we say, we are! Words carry the power to create and manifest things. Anyway, Fumi’s teachings are so needed nowadays!!☺️👍🏽

I have to say I was very fortunate I was taught to be a feminine and classy lady from a very young age. I love feeling feminine and being a lady. I’ve taught some friends and some of my kids’ friends. And Fumi, you’re right and hilarious! I’ve seen all the “what not to do’s. You’re making laugh so hard!!

Mama bear, the best thing KZbin has done for me is to recommend your video. you are such a lovely mommy and a sweet friend. I love that it doesn't ever feel like I'm watching a stranger. everybody believes I love staying indoors and avoiding social gatherings because I'm just introverted but the truth is that I'm always scared of flopping or embarrassing myself Your videos have taught me so much. in fact, i felt the most confidence on Sunday, because I applied some of the things you taught me. I got so many compliments too. i love you so much, Mama Fums

As a child growing up in the Caribbean my mother would teach me these rules and she would say " You have to have some brought-up-sy or people would think you fell from a breadfruit tree." It was silly but it worked. Now I teach my son good manners so he will recognise a real lady and know how to treat her.

Beautiful! Thank you for this! So needed these days. Please do more of this. Table etiquette! We all could stop talking while eating! Thank you for caring about the next generations like this. You been caring about the way you carry yourself since the 80’s and I been watching. Xoxo, from another “auntie” Lololol

Thanks for sharing. You look so beautiful. I had a purple dress structured like yours over 10 years ago. I wore it a lot 😂 until I forced myself to get rid of it after I took pics in it

Fuming:. You may not realize it, but you are showing some young women how to be ladies. When I saw the horrible video about the attack to poor Shanquella Robinson, I said to myself: "who is this beast!?". The girl clearly had no home training. What you are doing by teaching the many women who were never tought manners, is invaluable. Thank you so much. 😍
