I am a retired veteran and a retired nurse most of my life wore flat shoes. It is impossible for me. I have tried. I’m average weight not big nor skinny. Very seldom have I wore heels as it is so uncomfortable for me. My foot is 8 narrow. It does feel like your walking on tippy toe. So hard to find narrow shoes for me. This is the best tutorial for high heels. I brought a pair of beautiful pumps. Have a small platform on front. The most comfortable yet. Thank you for sharing. Now I feel more confident. Auntie Fumi, this video was for everyone who had a true lady like my mother. From a young age my grandma taught my mother and aunt to always either cross your legs or keep your knees together!! I just lost my mama to a stroke at 74 this April. When she couldn't walk she would always even against doctors orders, keep her legs crossed at the ankles. Hospital gown, and long pants her legs were crossed, even when in her wheelchair. Lol. We fought so much to keep her legs laying straight. Nope my mother was not just hanging out. (Her words). She'd say " Debbie, I know you don't care how you look right now, but you still represent me. Put on a nice blouse and pants baby and show them my beautiful daughter is here for ME" When you got up and did the smoothing method I laughed so so much. My mother always said to me. "Deborah, always straighten and smooth when you stand up, things move around when you get up my daughter" 🥰 Thank you so much for bringing this memory back to me. I still do all these things to this day. ❤❤

Also, there is a story by a popular KZbinr that's about a popular hair braided from NC that was murd_____ by her freinds while on a trip to Cabo. Ladies, this is what you call a lesson in deportment! ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥Aunty Fumi's finishing school.🙂 I once told a pageant girl I was dressing, that not all ladies cross their legs, they also cross their ankles at an angle. She didn't believe me. 😂. In High School, the modeling club coach, made us wear a certain heel height for 2 weeks before we could graduate to a higher heel. She said it was to strengthen our ankles. No. Walking in heels literally causes untold damage to women’s bodies via their bones and muscles contorting unnaturally around them. It’s even possible your hips were damaged due to heel wearing. It’s bad for us to do this regularly. Special occasions only!

I love pointed heels but I am a size 11 and can never find 12's so my 11's have my foot singing after 30 min tops so I have always asked myself how can I enjoy the pointed shoe without the pain, so far the clear ones have helped me cause they stretch a little easier. Hi auntie Fumi,thanks for the demos...truly needed. Some women buy 4 inch heels and up and can only walk in them for five minutes,taking a flip flop (sandals) to wear comfortably. l am glad you mention kitten heels,but wedges with beautiful styles can be worn and be just as comfortable and less stress on the feet.thanks again.please do a lesson on walking up and down a stairways, especially for foot safety and avoiding twisted ankles or worse a fall especially for seniors...Thanks too to Ole,the camera man. positivity all the way.

Will be 57 years old next month and I'm right along with you.... I'm almost afraid of falling whenever I try on heels .... just like my first time riding a bike, skates etc due to my left knee is very painful at times...so I wear a lot of flats.... maybe a good wedge heel ... I'm definitely going to try my luck at a good pump heel shoe

Fumi, you are a treasure! Love this video. One more tip: Don't give up on shoes that are uncomfortably tight without seeing what magic your cobbler can do. Mine has stretched a couple of pairs of too-tight pumps for me and bought me the extra half-size that I probably needed from the get-go. Stretching is inexpensive and costs far less than buying new shoes.

Great tips Fumi❤ you are looking absolutely fabulous in your outfit, and you are still slaying in your heels.. I have been wearing heels since 12. I have a wide selection of heels from 2-5 inches. Almost 50, I have discovered with aging, bad knees and added weight that heels with a small tasteful platform is more supportive, sturdy, and a lot more comfortable for me. Especially with weight! This added support takes a great deal of pressure off of the ball of my foot and gives support to my ankles. Ladies please stay away from brands that are cheaply made. If the heel simply feels like it is going to give way under you after taking a few steps, then you must put this shoe back on the shelf and walk away. It can be the cutest or sexiest shoe in the store but it is not cute or sexy to have on heels that are giving way to your weight or hurting your feet so badly that you are unable to give a confident stride. A sturdy footing provides a most confident stride.❤

Thank you much, Ms Fumi. Quick note: If Varicose veins run in your family or you have them, then Crossing knees over knee is an o no. I worked for 3 years in Vascular Surgery and assisted with many EVLTs. I asked the surgeon how and why most women have them (I did notice that a lot of patients wore heals so I asked, It's the Knee over knee so together at ankles is better.

Fumi is right: Better to go inside the store for a good pair of heels to test them out. I bought a very cute pair of office heels online, and I always go up a size when it comes to heels for comfort. However, these heels had way too much room in the back and kept slipping off my feet when I walked😐I love these shoes but can't wear them 😮‍💨Lots of good tips in this video! I loved this video! Thank you darling! I have had 5 knee surgeries and an ankle reconstruction and somehow I still have the desire to walk in heels 👠 again. Although I was never as graceful and polished as you are, my friend. They definitely wont be 4" or maybe not even 3" heels. But, I love the look of heels on occasion for how heels upgrade any outfit and elongate legs and highlight strong calves. I'm sold! I'm going to work on exercises to strengthen my knees and ankles, and then I'm going to practice at home where no one can see me. And then one day...who knows?? 💜
