There are days we don’t like each other but the love and respect for one another always brings us back together as one. We learned a long time ago you are going to have those days and it is okay. My husband is my best friend. He comes before everyone and he feels the same way. We do everything together but we do take time to ourselves just to be silent. Listen not just hear your spouse. The art of listening is a real thing. Good luck to all of you in relationships.

Ronke said it PERFECTLY and she was literally cheated on I believe. I think, personally, that these West African girlies in the US are getting divorced because now they are refusing to deal with shit that their mothers would've accepted and stayed married to. Some women are being the breadwinners and also meant to be 'submissive' its craziness. Many of us now are not trying to live like this with the bitterness. Unfortunately many of us are marrying the WRONG type of men orrrrr many are not even built to be wives and they're marrying men who shouldn't be husbands (*cough* Korra...*) and that is okay, not everyone needs to be married abeg. But my in opinion this is the matter.

I wish we spoke more about successful marriages. Marriage is beautiful it is an opportunity to learn, grow, laugh, celebrate, build and MORE. These days several do not prepare for marriage as well as they should (both males and females) and focus on the wedding day and not the marriage. I think people should speak to those who are happily married before taking the step, ask the hard questions, pray, look beyond mere externals and look at the heart and character of the one you want to spend your life with. Also, as Fumi said. keep your marriage PRIVATE. It is a bond between you, your husband and God.

i think the sentiments are...when you people to create a platform, to sell your life and storeies , you gather viewers who invest in those platforms or stories. Lets face it, wihout them they will not make money out of views and clicks . So when things fail people need an explaination. Not only when u want them u pretend viewers are not how u live your life by. Entitlment on both ends if u ask me.
@trianna20085 ай бұрын
I don’t think it’s unreasonable. This is what happens when you make your relationship a large part of your brand. The viewers feel obligated to be a part of it. Easy to open a door but difficult to close. My least favorite part of her whole video is her pretending she doesn’t love gossiping. Clearly she does or she wouldn’t have been begging for this info, especially to specific name. The fact that she called out someone even with the disclaimer that “I know you’re a private person; we never really heard about your husband”. So why do you think you should learn about this now? But I think this is a natural thing. For the last several decades, we’ve been pushed this narrative of marrying is the ‘happy ever after’ and it kind of stops there. This is what happens after the fairy tale ends, and this is something many of us hadn’t learned
@nishashawn20215 ай бұрын

One as a KZbin audience family member it does feel like a closeness, and we want to know because when your heart breaks ours does too. Secondly, she is right in the generational gap. Grandmothers and mothers tolerated narcissist and bad behavior from spouses or significant others way too long today the younger generations have more resources to identify toxicity early on and eliminate it from their life.

Things NEVER look as they seem behind closed doors. There can be so much different issues going on within the relationship/marriage so, why should they share it with the world? Things like this is private because so much could of happened which had a mental, emotional and psychological impact on that individual and they don’t want to share it- also, people are to quick make judgments. If the individual wants to share what they went through because they believe it can help others, good for them but, don’t be asking people to share their PRIVATE AFFAIRS.

This is something else. It's alot...we aren't taught to be friends with our partners first. We aren't taught to not lose ourselves. If we're independent we aren't taught to or told that at some point we'll have to loosen our grip on that independence. Not lose it completely but Girl allow that man help you sometimes. We aren't taught or told so many things and if we come from homes without a father in place then Lord help, we definitely have to figure stuff out on our own because Mama don't have time to show us or teach us anything...she gotta work to pay the bills Society and social media dangerously influences some...alot of younger women and men and they go into marriage not really grasping what it encompasses. They go in for the wrong reasons and with the wrong attitude not having learned their roles and what it is God created you to be as a woman, and wife same for the men as a man in general not to mention what it is to be a husband. 🤷🏽♀️ And the enemy is sitting back loving every second of it because we end up doing his dirty work for him not knowing that's what we're doing. Sheesh...its a lot. It's so sad.

They might have their reasons girl, marriage happens and so is divorce, life goes on without having to explain anything to anyone period.

When shady people say shady things and try not to be shady 😓. The insensitivity and entitlement is crazy. Well said Fumi. Protect your private life, protect what is important and valuable to you.

Not the nosey type but she wants to know why they got divorced. How comical 😂. Marriage is not a walk in the park. 19 years in and I can’t even say much but I agree with the part Ronke said You do lose yourself at some point. Too many things to sacrifice in a marriage. Such a great advice aunty Fumi gives.
