Adapter Installation Instructions.
1. Tighten the adapter: Hand tighten the adapter into the drain port.
(Do not cross-thread)
Tighten with a crescent wrench about an additional 1/8 turn or, if using a torque wrench, use the torque chart on the website. (Do not over-tighten)
2. Valve installation. Hand-tighten the valve. With a crescent wrench, hold the adapter in place so that it does not move. This will prevent the adapter from tightening further into the oil pan. With a crescent wrench on the body of the valve tighten about an additional ⅛ turn.
(Do not use a wrench on the hex head of the nipple outlet if present)
