Hello Reynaldo!!!! 5 months without power changes you... In a good way! You learn to appreciate simple things electricity and running water and lights... So many people have no idea how lucky they are and how fragile everything is!!!! You do!!! There's an old expression that says "Anything that doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!!" It's true! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and have power again!!!!! Still the lanterns are great!!! =)

John the first pair of pliers you picked up was a webbing stretcher. Then you picked up the tack hammer. You had me thinking you had an upholstery project. Maybe a coil spring retie. No such luck. You were definitely at a quality show. Thank You

Thank you for sharing your trip! It brought back memories of going with my dad early in the morning on Mondays in the summer to the Perkiomenville Flea Market in PA. Same kind of mist would be just burning off as we were leaving. I remember we always had to stop at the food tent on the way out for a kielbasa sandwich!

WOW! Great story! I've been a vegetarian for about twenty years now but there are still things I miss! Kielbasa is one of them! My Dad would cut up small slices and pan fry them with scrambled eggs! Nice day out,pity I wasnt there...Closest thing we have to that down here is the Bankstown markets on Sunday,at the Bankstown trotting club..Those Kirby vacuum cleaners were SO expensive out here..Scandal with Consumer Affairs Dept..They were being imported and sold door to door for outrageous prices with high pressure direct selling..about $4000 each. Interesting thing was that mist of the parts especially the consumables were identical to Hoover and quite cheap..Liked the idea of replaceable jaws on the pliers,thought that was only on Vises..Had a identical Stilson to that,God knows where it is now..Candle lamp was nice..Keep up the good work..

On a side note, I noticed as you walked by the fruits and vegetables that some of them have the same stickers you would see on grocery store produce, meaning the vendor got them from the same place your local grocery stores do. I don't know the laws in your state, but here in Washington state it's perfectly legal for people to pass off produce as their own and locally grown, they don't have to tell you and they don't have to tell you the truth if you ask them! People do it at farmer's markets and roadside stands and the some of the worst offenders are in Pike Place Market(taking advantage of tourist and local alike). Sometimes you can stand there and watch them pick off the stickers when they're bored. It's just something to be mindful of before you pay oft times outrageous prices thinking you are supporting local farmers/growers and getting a superior product. I was horrified when I found this out myself, but this knowledge helps me see through the charlatans so I can support the REAL local growers I meant to in the first place. =)
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Hello Amber Rose! That's good to know!! If you go there often you can see who is always there and who are the real farmers! If you ask them a few questions about their crop it quickly becomes evident they never planted a seed in their life! LOL The Eggplant were amazing though!!!! =) Thanks so much!!!!!!
@Levikarose796 жыл бұрын
Man that's so awesome, I wish I had the knowledge to be able to call them out on that bs! Oh! Have you ever done any asymmetrical paint work? Some of those tools have interesting angles that might look cool that way. =) Thanks for the excellent content!!

I went there today and picked up a bike. One tip for next time, if you stay till the last 30 minutes the vendors will leave what they don’t want to haul back to their cars by the trashcans for anyone to just pick up for free. I happened to pick up a 50-60 dollar trunk from the 70s. And a bunch of other cool stuff too. I even managed to get the one thing my younger brother came looking for, Star Wars DVDs I got the full set and an extra (all of which would’ve cost $75) for absolutely FREE!!! So make sure to do that next time! It helps a lot.

Hello CAOH! I'm sorry, I wanted to ask him but the prices of all his stuff was kind of high and I didn't ask... I love old drill presses! (and so many other things!) Thanks!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the video Scout. Out of all the flea markets and shows you go to is there one that you would say has the best selection of old hand tools?
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Hello Budddyrda! Definitely Jacktown! That's in Pa. (Bangor Pa.) Love that show! Best for tools an such! Are you close to Pa?
@budddyrda6 жыл бұрын

Hey scoutcrafter, at 5:01 What is the tool immediately to the right of the garden shears? It looks like a bar with some kind of roller on the end.
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Hello Andrew! That's a grinding wheel dresser! It was basically a handle that held some loosely held wheels and the idea was to hold the wheels against the spinning grinding wheel and it would clean the wheel by exposing new grit! Old school! LOL Thanks!!!!!!

Man I wish we had flea market's like that around here in Oklahoma. Best you can get is a Swap Meet called Mary's, but you usually can't find much good there.
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Hello Jonathan! Sometimes you have to search them out! People keep them as secrets and are afraid they will lose a good deal if they tell people about it!!! =) Thanks!!!!!
@jonathanjones57986 жыл бұрын
Heh, yeah. So why did you pick up so few items? I probably would have nabbed that bucksaw and the scythe if they were cheap
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Yes they were awesome buys! I have to keep my purchases to small items because I am literally running out of room!!!! LOL

Does the candle lantern shoot a focused beam? Or what exactly? Kinda just looked like the same effect as a frosted globe.
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Hello Catsupdog! It has the parabolic reflector that concentrates the light to the front and then passes thru a projection lens in the front!!!!! It really works! Remember it's only a candle (dead flame) do the candle power can't e compared to a blast lantern... These were used in the Medical field! Thanks so much!!!

Hi Scout. I think Fairmount are a US company. Certainly not from here in the UK. Love the road lamp. Are you going to do a restoration on it?
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Hello Gord! Yes! It was Fairmount Cleve, they were founded in 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio! They will go on the list of restorations to do! LOL Thanks so much!!!!!

Well, I was gonna say, once you have 11 pairs of lineman's pliers you probably have the field pretty well covered, then you whipped out 3 pairs at the end. I looked for date codes on what I thought were Kleins. It's hidden under the ratty green plastic handles I don't really want to hack at; the handles are more there than not. And another pair was made by a company called "H. Boker". They look pretty good, kind of standard US made quality. And another pair were Crescents. So no good collection of date codes.
@ScoutCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Those are all great brands!!!! I usually don't use side cutter pliers too much but I do love the design and feel of them so I started collecting them! Plus they are cheap and don't take a lot of room!!! LOL Thanks!!!!!
