I love watching this video again and again, because we do weekly landbased and wharf fishing and recently my kids caught some yellow eye bait fish and jack mackerel and we caught some nice 40cms snappers and they were hooked firm, later on in the night one was a either a shark or stingray. that bite the line in half. Thank you Jase, we love your videos they are in a class of their own!

@@Reel-Kiwi-Fishing Thanks, yes my boys and wife are thoroughly enjoying it. We love those videos where we fish off the shore and teach us rigs. Take care. We are heading for a nocte fishing trip tonight with pillies( as you suggested) and bonito.

Thank you, those hard baits are, mullet as well? Man, great video. I going to use kahawai. LK

Fresh is best but yip mullet is good to start with then if ya catch a Kahawai or even yellow tail they are a lot tougher bait being fresh - although have caught a few fish on just the skin of the mullet :-) Tight lines

Cheers B_F - that they do the salmon berley seems to get them excited ;-) great time of year to fish the shallows when everyone's packing away the gear and putting covers on their boats - there's fish to be had all year round :-)

HI there.was that a yellow find Kingfish? I didn't know you could use them? I thought they had to be 75cm to take.
@Reel-Kiwi-Fishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi MT No Kingfish caught in this one - you maybe referring to the yellow tail mackerel (Mac's) we were catching for bait? These are just baitfish that grow to around 35-40cm...and yep Kings have to be 75cm to be able to take :-) Tight lines
