I love Slovenia .You have probably most comfortable Climate in central Europe. Temperate climate on north and mediterranean along coastline. Beatiful nature .Safe neighbor's countries. I was in half countries of the world. And finally we got the best. My family lives here 6 years. You can say that we are stupid but we are lucky even to pay taxes from our salary :-) We see how children are trained and old people are saved. + nature + climate +++ Slovenian nation and their culture and traditions are great. Haha hvala! Great knowledge, it's quite a task to learn our language so this is a very good start ;). There are a lot of different Slovene courses in Slovenia, but unfortunately I don't know about any online courses (or in Asia ;)). Good luck!

Re David, one week for visiting Ljubljana only is way too much. You can visit it through in one day. Otherwise Ljubljana is an excellent starting point for daily trips to other places in Slovenia, like Bled, Bohinj, Kranjska Gora (1 day trip), Soča river and Goriška brda (Slovenian Toscana) (1 day), Postojna or/and Škocjan cave, Lipica, Piran (1day), Celje and Ptuj (1 day) etc...

@@nerut Dosti dobrih stvari pride iz Slovenije ali pa od Slovencev v tujini. Samo trademark Made in Slovenia je podcenjen. Marsikakšna stvar, ki je bila razvita v Sloveniji se izdeluje zunaj, ker je pri nas preveč bremzanja s strani odločevalcev. Dober primer je hitri polnilec za telefone. Nobeden ne ve, da ga je razvil Mariborčan. Bil je tudi tako domoljuben, da je iskal pomoč pri naših za patentiranje in proizvodnjo. Kot ponavadi je naletel na gluha ušesa ali pa na podcenjevanje. Epilog je ta, da azijske firme danes na veliko služijo, on pa mirno živi v tujini.

Although they are all official languages and have some differences in grammar and vocabulary, was that part meant more as a joke. I already answered once to a similar comment that unfortunately we didn't point it out obvious enough. We were trying to sarcastically point out why we are so high in the statistics about knowing a lot of foreign languages :).
