I always loved riding my horse in the snow. The fresh clean mountain air with the smell of pine, saddle leather and horses. Refreshing to the mind and soul. I always felt free. Snow would muffle the sounds. Great video.

Absolutely stunning! This is my dream, to ride in snow one day. I trained near LA years ago and I would sometimes trail ride with my trainer and some other friends. She had a young horse at the time who was not yet two and he would come with us and be loose some of the time. As long as we had his best friend gelding with us, he never went far. It was so cute.

Move to Montana and you can ride in snow for half the year 😁😬⛄ we take turns letting one horse loose, they love it!

They are herd animals so they like to stick together :) Also the snow is quite deep anywhere other than the road so it would be a lot of work for them to go anywhere else.
