Last fall while in Algonquin I had a dream of my mother (who passed three years ago ) and she was cooking for me. I was then awakened to a barred owl calling outside of my tent 😊

One night whilst camping solo in Frontenac PP, I had a couple of barred owls outside my tent plotting my demise 😂 I don't know how long they were out there, but they woke me up, and kept me awake for a long while! Owls kinda freak me out.

the little critters that the owls love to eat could be more active in the camp area thus enticing it to hang out.

Who cooks for you. Thanks for the info about owls. Have a cottage in northern Ontario and hear them often. When I was a little kid one fell out of a tree in our neighbours yard and we took it down to a place in Vineland Ontario. They fixed him up and released him back in the wild. Owls are awesome.

One spring campout we had a pair of owls fly into a tree above camp and start mating!! It literally sounded like monkeys screaming for a good 30 minutes!

I have had that experience as well in the backcountry of Killarney. Very unique sound, that's for sure.

KC I know you're disappointed in not teaching in the brick and mortar educational institution, however, just think of how many more people you are educating with your TY videos! I've been thoroughly enjoying them. Thank you. Have you seen any of the Maine Guide videos by Lisa DeHart? A collab between you both would make for great viewing and education.
