Hi Tiffinie! Good to hear that your mum and your pup are both doing well and had successful surgeries. I love thunderstorms too. My dad and I used to sit and watch the lightning from our sliding glass door when I was a kid. It's a fond memory, and I miss being able to do that with him now that he's gone. I love these little guys, and think I'll try a totally wheel thrown version. You've given me ideas once again! I'll let you know what I come up with. I've got a bisque load in now (fingers crossed we don't get rain!). The donut vase didn't make this load, as I didn't quite have room for the tall pieces, but I'm really looking forward to seeing that one glazed. I may try a single-fire. We'll see. Anyway, stay well and stay centered my muddy sister!

I grew up in Colorado so your storm brought me back to the summers camping in the Rocky Mountains. The hail was bad and it made chopped salad out of my mother’s flowers.😢 But we sometimes could pack it in a cooler instead of ice. Thanks for the memories and claytorial.

Glad to hear your mum is slowly fixed up and on the mend, good news. We too have an elderly cocker, she's 12 and going deaf, she's always had problems with her ears but old age deafness has taken over from the selectiveness. These little pots are beautiful, I'm sorry you've had to make a larger version however for family it probably means s the world. Thanks for another good video, stay dry and safe in that storm and you dog is fighting fit once home .😅😊

Yes, my cocker went deaf last year. My vet said it's common in cockers as they age. They are such a sweet breed. ❤️

Great to hear your mum and puppy are doing well. My condolences for your cousin in law, Im sure his girls will be very touched by the min urns. My ex mother in law, absolutely beautiful lady, has a knee replacement and she swore by her physo's treatment of using an exercise bike backwards, said it really helped with her recovery. I understand yours is a little more serious having had it done several times. I really love the Celedons as well. At the moment I'm experimenting with Black clay. We have a really nice clay be Keans here in Australia, mid fire Cone 6 black. It's a little troublesome cracking at joints as its very much like porcelain in its feel and maybe even a touch more finicky but I love the clay body after firing. I'm wondering what your suggestions might be for glazing? I have heaps of Mayco and a few others like Spectrums Sangria, soft red, Autumn purple. I was even considering doing something with the Amaco flux glazes, Citrus flow maybe over something like Norse blue? I'm a little hesitant atm as some glazes just look terrible on black clay and I know I should do tests.... but you know the deal you have pieces ready and want to glaze now

I do the bike backwards too, even walking on the treadmill backwards has done wonders for the limp. Glazing black clay is the hardest. I found my too favorites are Firebrick by Amaco and Jess's Chun Blue from Clayscapes are the best results I've gotten with black clay. Good luck!
