I love this song so much and it is so much fun when he's singing it live, you should definitely watch a live performance of it in your own time! Niall actually wrote this song catering to his female fans and females in general. He said, "I had this idea in my head...I know that a lot of young ladies struggle within themselves sometimes and I just kinda wanted to write a song and put a little bit of light on that, let everyone know that they're not on their own." In fact, he got this idea from a girl he observed at a cafe, "I had this idea; obviously I see a lot of stuff online and I know girls in general. I was in Pret [a Manger] one day in town and I was looking at my phone and I had seen a girl in the corner who I thought looked a little bit upset or whatever, [was] on her own and looked a little bit lonely. The waiter came over and made her laugh out loud and her laugh made me look over.”

A lot of the written words don't match what Niall actually sings. I've noticed this a lot for other songs by Niall. Niall said this was based on a girl he saw in a cafe and she looked sad. Then the waiter went to her table and said something to her that made her laugh. He said that was what gave him the idea for the song. In Niall's own words "It was as simple as that". He has said that some of his songs are made after observing people and situations.

He didn't refuse to tour. He had just finished a week presenting SNL for James Corden and it was announced that flights were being cancelled because of the COVID epidemic. Niall said he literally had to scramble to get a flight back to UK, and then went straight into lockdown here. All concerts were cancelled due to COVID. Niall was gutted because he was so proud of the album but missed out on all the interviews prior to release, and the joy of the concerts and reactions of fans.
