Good day! Tell me how you form nodes in .txt format. Do you have such a tutorial? Thank you!
@WilliamJusticeMedia Жыл бұрын
Hi, I may be making a video about this soon. But it is very easy.. Just select the nodes that you want and then copy them. That will give you the text for the nodes. Just paste the text into any text editor.

I downloaded the macro ands tried it. It worked fine with text, but with image and background it became buggy. It has the problem with the bottom part not working as intended. The bottom part kinda duplicated when I move it. Resizing doesn't help either. I use Resolve 18.
@dalstarvisuals13854 жыл бұрын
What is the secret to get the background to show up? I have been looking for this effect. I am trying to have a logo (jpg) split in two, revealing a group picture. I was thinking it would be done the same way but not having any luck with the picture (background in your video) being revealed.
@dalstarvisuals13854 жыл бұрын
I can only get the background to work with one side of the Split Y (going left) and will not work either way of Split X.

That's a cool effect and a great video for understanding fundamentals of fusion. Are the 'user controls' (the ones in user tab) the ones used for the macro? If not, how do you define the inputs for the final macro?
@WilliamJusticeMedia4 жыл бұрын
Yes.. the user controls are in the "user tab" in the inspector. Just setup sliders and used those for the center position. It is just easier for me to adjust that way. So in the macro I enabled the sliders (which control the center position) instead of the center position.
@Gigreels4 жыл бұрын
Hmm. I placed the file in the correct path and restarted DR, but the macro doesn't show up. Is there an alternate path? I'm on a PC.
@WilliamJusticeMedia4 жыл бұрын
Not sure... Did you try getting the path from inside fusion. open fusion, right click on any node and choose macro->create macro.. this will open a macro setup window.. Just click close at the bottom and then choose to save.. that will show you the path to them macro folder. You don't need to save.. just cancel from there. Hope that helps
@Gigreels4 жыл бұрын
@@WilliamJusticeMedia Thanks! That solved it for me. My path is C:\Users ame\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Macros I don't know if that is normal, but it now works!
@Gigreels4 жыл бұрын
And now I see, after actually getting into the video, that you explained all of that!
@WilliamJusticeMedia4 жыл бұрын
@@Gigreels Yeah.. I wish they made it easier to find. LIke a bin or folder inside of resolve that you could manage just like the media pool. There may be a better way.. I just don't know it.

Are you on mac? If so, try installing in the following folder.. /Users/YOUR-NAME/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Macros You can also open fusion and drag the .settings file into the node area. That works as well. Hope that helps.
