Assuming the Merc isn’t rusted out from being in Detroit, spend the $$ converting the air ride to spring and keep enjoying the beautiful cocoa interior.

TOPIC SUGGESTION: Best new or used coupe or three door hatch that likely won't cost a ton to drive for 5 + years--factoring in both depreciation and maintenance/repair expenses. (If that's too limiting, could expand topic to best new or used sporty car, be it 2, 3, 4 or 5 door...) Great show! Very much enjoy personalities + car discussions / facts /opinions... Excellent chemistry between 4 core guys !!

Just make sure the bimmers expansion tank, oil filter housing gasket, and ccv has been replaced recently. Also, inquire about the DISA and VANOS system. look for valve cover leaks, and a simple gasket replacement usually won't fix those, you need to get the cover resurfaced since they warp. if those things are in order, and you keep some fresh 0w40 in there (don't go by the OBC, change the oil at 5k miles), you'll get some life out of it.

That 91 LTC will be a sweet reliable ride and the Tundra’s a great choice too.

It seemed like you guys were going for the shock value instead of helping him. Only KC hit the fun factor and even that is for an older person.

The year on Tony’s Lincoln was either a typo or it had been wrecked & had a replacement grille from a 1976 Lincoln: the actual 1978 Lincolns had vertical Rolls-Royce-like grilles.

LS430 is the correct answer here. I get u think it's boring but they're great cars and from what in experience they don't spontaneously combust.

Great show. So many laughs. BMW and Jag likely very expensive to maintain but very nice cars.
@AmosDohms4 күн бұрын
Would be great to own both and see which one ends up costing more. I actually suspect the Jag would be cheaper, though the Bimmer is definitely more fun.

Drum brakes were terrible. I’d forgotten how bad my 65 Mustang swerved in a panic stop. Caleb did have a legit complaint about the lack of reliability. Would it have killed you all to have a Legend or an M45? You all have mined the early Infinitis before - they were interesting, once!

The last few years of the XJ8 were very reliable and it’s the only car in today’s show that a valet would park up front. Besides, it’s a Jaaaaag.

Pearly advising Caleb reminds me of Chris Farley advising David Spade on SNL as Matt Foley, motivational speaker, who lived in a van down by the river! Just sayin'

Every single pick here is worse than the W220. Airmatic W220s can even be converted to conventional shocks and springs because of the presence of sway bars. But the Airmatic is really what gives it character.
