G'day. I saw a previous video of yours about how to progress with one arm chin ups. I am currently doing my left arm pronated and right arm supinated with my pullup bar in the door frame; is that an effective way to build towards a on arm pull-up? I do it that way as there is a muscle imbalance with my left and right arms, more muscle on left than right. I saw in the video you were using a ring strap, is it okay to use a towel over the bar handle to substitute for the ring strap and would it help correct the muscular imbalance? Sorry for the long arse msg

Daniel, as much as I like the exercise presented in this video, I have to admit I was paying more attention to your body fat reduction. It already became apparent in the past few videos, but your post on FB and this video really show the difference. How would you like making a video (or a series) about how you managed to get this cut? As you have already been very lean before the drop for quite some time I think it would be interesting to cover what you've changed in your nutrition, which - as I'd suspect from the videos you shared on this topic in the past - has already been quite healthy and a solid foundation to your training. Also, if I remember correctly, you always put performance first and aesthetics second - so did you lose weight to facilitate further progression towards the full planche? Cheers, Philip

FitnessFAQs Hi Daniel, do you disengage your scaps between reps of normal pullups (at the dead hang) or do you keep them engaged/activated for the best progress? Mostly interested in increasing my reps to promote front lever strength. Also, what is your opinion on the 2 different 'forms' of pullups; the one where you pull straight vs. the version when you push backwards while moving upwards and then quickly row forward.

+SEYMUR AXMEDOV Simple: 1. Use the 90°/middle pullup hold. Make sure it's not a CHINUP HOLD, which'll target more the biceps than the forearms. Can also use the reverse biceps curl. 2. Use the Dead Hang Hold, pullup style. 3. Use top position of the pullup.

@Patrick.E.10 жыл бұрын
For me the biggest help was to practice pull-ups but to bring your knees to your chest as you pull up to the top. I heard it creates more momentum and to be honest I was able to do a muscle up by just doing that. All you do is just practice that and then try to bring the bar further to your chest/engage your traps and upper back to get to the sticking point and then push up from there. Hope that helps
