I really relate to a lot of what she's saying like with the struggling and having no one to talk to, being a deep thinker and constantly evolving. I'm so happy and proud of her for evolving in her own deep and spiritual way. A quote that helped me when I went through that is "death is painful because it is birth". She's being reborn into her best and healthiest self and while it may hurt in the moment, you will shine like gold later

@@classyjohn1923Mainly, it was the shock of her close friend passing away in mid 2021, ever since she has been grieving, but also, she went on tour last year and a lot of unfortunate things happened at that time, like she mentioned in this video. I love when Jessi gets the opportunity to do interviews in English, it really gives her more opportunity to fully express herself and her authentic self really shines. I really hope she prioritizes getting therapy and getting herself into a good place mentally before she decides to have children or start a family, either with a partner or by herself. So many people make the mistake of having children as a means of happiness or filling a void, without taking care of themselves first, which never gives them the results they expected and can result in a lot of resentment down the line. I really wish the best for her and as a jebbie who has watched her for over 7 years now, I really feel like being in Korea full time is also taxing for her. I’m glad she’s still working on her album despite feeling creatively blocked. The best way to break through those blocks is to just keep trying and working until something clicks. Love her so much, miss her a lot, and thank you guys for bringing her on again 🤍

S.Korea needs Jessi. She brought the country forward socially, and made it ok to be an empowered woman and not the typical submissive Korean woman. She has influenced women in korea to be more modern. Luv her humor and confidence. Best of luck moving forward business wise and love. Trust your inner self, and take care of yourself. ❤

I'm a Korean-American who visits Seoul once or twice a year. S. Korea doesn't need Jessi or they are looking for her. Jessi's fan like you cracks me up. You people, learn about the country through K-pop or some tv shows and think you are the expert on Korean people or their culture. One thing I fuckin can't stand international fans who know nothing about Korea, but all of a sudden you have so much to say about Koreans. Have you ever visited Korea?? How many Korean friends do you have irl? Probably none!! S. Korean women are not submissive as you claimed. Being less boisterous and more lady like doesn't mean they are submissive. I suggest you keep your shallow knowledge of Korean women to yourself because nothing changes whether Jessi is there or not. Not a single Korean person noticed she is taking a break. I think Jessi is cool, but she is not as big as you Jessi fans think.

Jessi has always been a real one... Watching her glow up from Unpretty Rapstar and throughout her career has been beautiful. Her whole demeanor is different and it's super refreshing to hear her say that she doesn't feel inspired to create and is burnt out... It shows how human she is and makes her even more relateable. Jessi is someone who may get hurt often/easily because of how open her heart is and how vulnerable she can really be in front of others, or even a camera! she is never afraid to tell her story, to reveal the dark or uncomfortable parts about her emotions. i appreciate it so much and feel sorry as well, people shouldn’t have to be so strong from such a young age, always relying on herself. i hope she finds more people to lean on. the man and the children will come after her health is taken care of. Jessi is a very open and free person but she traps herself in her thoughts a lot lol like me, so it’s hard to make a decision or stay on one track. But jessi has been so successful and she will continue to grow and thrive throughout her career!

Go out of Korea, a trip to reconnect with yourself & mother nature, consider southeast Asia countries like Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Bali. If not, consider Taiwan or Japan scenic routes. I kinda understand when you say that you are often listening & helping others yet when you want someone to listen to you & help you with your woes it's not easy to find that some one. It’s so great to see Jesse! I have missed her so much and really think her previous companies didn’t realize what a gem they had. She is so authentic and talented. You can’t shut down her light since it’s natural.

relying on your friends and showing them your weak side is not easy, especially when you’ve always been strong, I get that, but I hope she’ll find someone to confide in. she seemed so vulnerable while talking about her struggles.

Damn, i feel everything she said that's crazy. Maybe cause i'm in my 30's too but everything she said i'm living it. Mental Health, trying to be happy, trying to focus about myself, my view of love, how i lost myself in the work to avoid everything etc etc. Your podcast just gave me a brainfart. Jessi, FIGHTING ! We can do it, we can be happy and mentaly strong !

I agree with Jessi about the distance in a relationship.. My husband's work requires travel and when he comes back it's as if I'm falling in love with him all over again. It's the opportunity of missing him. I totally get it.

I love how she's so honest. Hope she'll be able to get herself out of the safe zone and seek a therapist. ❤ I went before, it's so much easier when you're not having those talks in life to start with a psychologist and then later when you open up to them it will be easier to talk with family members, friends or even strangers 😂😅... I would say I'm kinda similar to her with the way my mind direction itself, hope for the best, she's such a great person 🥰

Everything, Jessi's talking about is so heartfelt and true - especially for those in the entertainment world. Many have been working since pre-teens. Singing, dancing, writing, performing, etc... This is why I don't give any celebrity (especially K-pop/drama) any crap about "comebacks"... For example - I love, Kwon Jiyong aka GDragon - but, he said - he's working on new music and we see him in promotion mode... That man has been hustling since a baby... If he's burned out - he's burned out. It's not hard to get bored or uncomfortable with an industry that made and or broke you...

Was literally just missing Jessi and this podcast came out!!! Love you Jessi, & its okay to feel lost especially after some traumatic situations (ppl around you passing away) - its normal to feel like you need to recalibrate & adjust your life when these extreme situations happen. It just takes time (maybe years) and listening to yourself to figure out what it is that you need. Wishing you the best! & for your healing! Always try to be kind to yourself, love you!

What Jessi said, literally just same as what Mijoo said. Both of them give laughter, advice or even backup for some frienda but not easy to search someone who will do somethin like that for them. Maybe that's why both of them very close to Yoo Jaesuk

I really enjoyed watching her talk cause this is really true for a lot of women who are getting older and finding themselves. I resonated with everything she said and it’s nice to also hear someone go thru the same thing. I hope she stays kind to herself and realizes that everything isn’t a race but a journey. Super nice podcast to watch and I just stumbled on this. Thank you! 😊
