Good afternoon please help me to know what did you add with your food coloring or use it by itself to airbrush a butter cream so it won't drip or melt or run when taking out the freeze or fridge

do you add water to the color for better flow?
@yuriokada94388 жыл бұрын
+samara mitchell I wouldn't add water because marzipan and fondat/sugar fudge are made from sugar so they may melt. My airbrush colors are already runny so I can use them directly on my cakes. But if you wish to dilute your colors for any reason you can look if there are special products for pastry available. Since many peope enjoy cake arts these days I'm sure there are plenty of shops :-)

Hi, Help me plz. I tried to use stencils for the clouds etc... and it turned out a disaster. The stencil would stick to the buttercream and lift it up....messing everything up. What to do? I do not like fondant. I prefer buttercream. How to stencil on it? Thank you

Try making sure your buttercream is fully crusted (if you use a powdered sugar type of bc, it'll get a crust when air dried) or really cold if you use a Swiss or Italian meringue buttercream.

Jennifer Herzog So... it won't bead up if used on chilled swiss meringue buttercream?
@jenniferherzog87189 жыл бұрын
Dawn2Dusk23 I airbrush on Swiss meringue buttercream all the time. It WILL bead up if you put to heavy of a coat on at once. Make sure you use a light mist and if you need darker color, use multiple coats. You know though, on second thought...stenciling and airbrushing might be a problem. Reason being, when you get the frosting really cold, It's gonna sweat as it returns to room temp. Which will cause your color to bead. I suppose the amount of beading could depend on the humidity (after all, It's moisture in the air that causes condensation, or sweating). But if you could keep it light, put a fan on it as it's returning to room temp after your finished with it, it could work. I guess it'll just take a little experimentation. The safest bet with the stencil would be frozen smbc. But that's the most extreme temp change. My advice would be:freeze it, stencil it, remove stencil and let come to refrigerated temp in the fridge first, Then transfer to your counter with a fan on it.

You're welcome! There are some facebook groups you could join where ppl help each other out. Like "Baking Friends", "Cake Pricing Help. ..and more cakey things", "Cake decorating for beginners". My business page on Facebook is www.Facebook.com/ JennsLittleHouse (omit the space) if you wanna check it out. The flower cupcake arrangement on the cover photo was airbrushed. I love my airbrush!
