@@SloggerVlogger I bet you're right. I'm mindful you told me Biddy was born in the wild. Her daughters lack Biddy's playfulness and familial affection towards the rest of the troop. Although I favor your channel, I have seen other videos of zoo gorilla videos. The Silverbacks even play with their wee little ones. Those family groups also sit together and play. None of those gorillas are skittish around each other, not even with the Silverback. Lope and Biddy are very normal. I just wish I knew more about the other 3 adults so I can understand their behavior.

@@lynderherberts2828 Asante was raised by humans. She was turned loose to the other gorillas later on in life, which is why she is the most skittish. I also learned Asante is not Biddy's child. She has the same father as Ozala, but her own mother is Eva, who passed in 2007.

I love watching them laugh and play. Such precious moments you captured! As I normally laugh at Lope videos, this is more emotional to me as i see Lope so happy being the center of attention and over the moon with joy and giggles surrounded by Grandma's love & playfulness.. Lope always has the biggest laughs when he gets playtime with the adults and there is just something about the how he is beaming & so grateful. He just soaks it up and is in bliss! Thank you so much! The gorilla current family at Twycross consists of 6 members, which are Oumbi, Ozala, Biddy, Asante, Lope and Shufai Oumbi ( 30 June 1992) Sons : Okanda 17 Apr 2011 born at Twycross Zoo, Hand raised and now at München Hellabrunn Germany. Lope ( 3rd Jan 2013) and Shufai (24th Sep 2016) were both born at Twycross Zoo in England and they are still at the Zoo. Ozala (19 Mar 1994), she had four sons and one daughter. Ozala's first mate was Ti. Ozala and Ti had Matadi on the 25th of May 2003 at Twycross Zoo. Then they had their daughter Ndoki on the 3rd of May 2007, but she sadly died on the 29th Aug 2007, unknown cause. Matadi is at the Antwerp Zoo in Belgium with his mate Mayani and they had a baby girl called Thandie. ( Don't miss the footage from Antwerp on this channel at: kzbin.info/aero/PLXC1aShJSBiWoP6Dq9WJ9iSyKrLU2C89_) Matadi had another baby girl in June 2020 this time with Mambele and she's called Vizazi. Ti died in 26 Feb 2007, the cause of it was a stroke. Oumbi got moved to Twycross Zoo in 2009 to mate with the females. Ozala was Oumbi chosen mate. Asante (6th Jun 1985) is Ozalas half-sister. She hasn’t got any offspring. Biddy is Ozalas's Mum as she was born in the wild in 1973, there is no record of siblings or parents. Her offspring are Mambie and Ozala.

Welcome to WWF's second round of fighting "The Giant aka Bidi" vs. "The British Bulldog aka Lope" (these wrestling fighters really existed in 1990). Seriously, I think now we know where Lope got his antics from. The wild play / wrestling of mom and grandma. The two-legged running of dad (Grandpa Bitam and Uncle Ambam). To: @tanktodd - The 'Grandma' is named Biddy and she is the mother of Ozala and the young male is Lope who is Ozala's son. The silverback is out of sight but his name is Oumbi. His chosen mate is Ozala but he has been known to 'fool around' with her mother. Silverbacks can be quite 'polygamous' given the opportunity.

I'm literally laughing out loud & making myself silly dizzy...I can't help but be reminded of the late 2018 video where it looked & sounded like "all hell" was breaking out when Mum Ozala got really mad at Grammy Biddy for shoving Mum's rascal & pestering son, Lope, away, as it turned into a *LOUD* roughhousing incident between the the Grammy & her grownup daughter...Then Oumbi arrives almost flying through the air with his with teeth bared (& a lot of screaming could be heard in the background) as he forcefully separates the 2 angry girls, then boots poor ole Grammy Biddy out the door before one handedly "rolling" his wife, Ozala, over a big log...Yeah...it was kind of scary at 1st, especially for Lope & Baby Shufai, but quickly settled down into a staring & glaring ending to the family feud...LOL...Now I LOVE this funny older footage...I mean no one was hurt outside of Big Daddy, Oumbi , breaking a fingernail & some feelings being hurt...HaHaHa... *: )*
