In a composite function, the inner function f(x) gives the range value, which become the domain for the outer function g. For g(f(x)) to work, the range of f(x) must fit into the domain of g. If it doesn’t, the composite function cannot be formed. Hope my answer helps. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
