Wonderfully lighthearted entree to the high-pressure world on science funding. Thanks for making this!

Oh Emily... thank you for making us look so professional :D Astronomy is serious business! Luckily we also know how to have fun when we're not working our hind-quarters off. Thanks for all your work with editing!

Oh NOOOOO! I hope we, the scients, do not look as boring as presented in here :D :D :D never the less, the text is spot on:)

Good point. I added it to the video description, and I'm happy to share my results with Carly Rae Jepsen once the research is funded.

So I appreciate - and even applaud - the attempt in the caption here to make the unfortunate cameos into a teachable moment. Unfortunately, its sufficiently ambiguous that it could cast a cloud of suspicion onto anyone present in the video. Unless one happens to be privy to the 'astronomy whisper network', that ambiguity remains unresolved. A similar problem was faced with the recent scandal at Leiden surrounding Tim de Zeeuw; with the university unwilling to name the accused, a number of other individuals in that community had to step forward and say, "It is not me." I don't know what the right answer is here, and I don't want this otherwise charming video snapshot of astronomy life to be taken down, so I guess all I can say is, "It is not me."

Genial ! I hope the authors of the video can insert it as scientific credit in their next round of funding applications.

Could have given it a 10 on 10 if the line , #so here is my science# was something else with at least rhymes with #Maybe#.

The actual song doesn't even have something that rhymes with maybe. "so here's my number, call me maybe"

Of course, if we remember the“twist” in the original video, this video should end with the scientists discover that no one has any money to donate anymore.
