Congratulations for this webinar!!! Very good!! I have read Krashen's hypotesis, and I have tested with my kids to acquire a second language. and it worked. I will use for my third language too. thank you to the channel.

Thank you for sharing this webinar! It was, once again, very informative and inspiring! - I am literally incapable of learning word lists. I was useless in learning Latin like that - and it was (or still is?) the way "dead" languages are taught. I only built a considerable vocabulary by reading texts - preferably those I liked most (which were not the ones about endless battles...). The same for Old French and Old Provencal: both languages I learned by reading only and reading texts I enjoyed - or I found compelling. Like I mentioned in an interview with Stephen Krashen, I acquired two of my languages, both when I was adult.

No convincing evidence though was really presented for this claim, that people who read more fiction know more about science. No: people who read more science know more about science, and people who read more 'fiction' know more about 'fiction'...

This claim seems totally bogus: that asking someone to speak causes 'anxiety'. No, obviously the speaker does not even agree with his own (unconceptualized and unmeasurable) claim.
