Fundraising managers are responsible for raising money on behalf of organisations (often non-profit groups such as charities). They utilise a number of promotional methods and campaigns to fundraise from companies, individuals or secured grants.
Lydia provides invaluable insights into the fundraising sector, sharing her experience working in a variety of roles within the sector from interning at Marie Curie through to Centre Fundraising Manager at Maggies. Lydia shares how being involved in fundraising growing up pushed her in the direction of working in the charity sector and how her love of organising and putting on events makes her well suited to the role.
