Oh gee, I think you copied that message from Mein Kampf. By the way, the huge two-volume issue of Mein Kampf put out by the fabulous historians of the Institut für Zeigeschichte in Munich is a tremendous achievement. The footnotes of this two-volume masterpiece (Not the text of AHI but what the historians contribute as footnotes and commentary) constitute an education about the rise and fall of the Third Reich and all its horror, also its march music by the way. Incidentally, as far as German march music goes, I really liked the East German national anthem, Auferstanden aus Ruinen. It was composed by a real musician, whose name was Hans Eisler. A moving tribute to all the unfortunate Germans who got stuck living in East Germany from 1945 to 1989. I was there a few times and experienced life there as a never-ending nightmare, Alptraum. As a US MIL Veteran, your "can't understand what is going on in people who still carry honor and loyalty in their bodies" is so profound. In the US I fear we are entering a period of darkness where that honor and loyalty will be dishonored, disloyal and disgraced.

The oratory Saul was written by Handel in London, in collaboration with a Briton. Handel himself, not really a German in the sense that we think today, took British citizenship.

Jose Higuera Handel was German and mainly, he plagiarized the French Bourbon Royal anthem “Grand Dieu sauve le Roi” into God save the Queen, which originally was written and composed in 1690 by Jean Baptiste Lully, personal compositor of Louis XIV. You can research that by yourself.

@@charlesmartel9039 Germany did not exist then. There was only a number of smaller German-speaking states. Handel never went back to live in Germany, made most of his career in London, took British citizenship and his remains are in the UK.

Jose Higuera German people existed much before Germany becomes a unified country. The same with German language. And all these smaller kingdoms were part for a very ling time of a much bigger kingdom called the Saint Empire Germanic (Holy Germanic Roman Empire)... As for Handel he didn’t write a single opera in English, explain why ?? , I mentioned to you about how he plagiarized the French Royal Bourbon anthem Grand Dieu sauve le Roy written by Jean Baptiste Lully into God save the Queen.

Outside of the fact that Handel was born in Halle, most of his music must be seen as British. Through high-placed buddies Handel made a killing on the British stock market back then by selling off all his stock, on the advice of the friends, one day before the market crashed. He needed lots of money to afford all those unbelievable wigs that he wore. A great character and equally great composer, later a normal decomposer, however.

Well, 76 years after the end of the war, one may probably again, instead of the fist, put the hand to the trouser seam.

Do you mean the conductor? He still has the stick in his hand and therefore he can not put a straight hand on the coat. See this kzbin.info/www/bejne/mn_dmWqFoMqIgtE

@@BTBconcept :No, I mean that in the 1970s in the Bundeswehr you didn't put your hand on the, trouser seam you put your fist on it. At the time it was frowned upon because it was too reminiscent of the Wehrmacht. But today the Bundeswehr is not a defensive army and the "citizen in uniform" no longer exists. So, back to the root`s.
