One year ago, Louis helped inspire me to leave home with a backpack and start a KZbin travel channel. It has really become a passion, and my channel just passed 2,000 subscribers this morning. Thank you, Louis! Keep being awesome!

+Travel-Nomad they aren't allowed to swim with them those dolphins aren't save to swim with especially in the wild also when they have babies too I've been to the Maldives twice and the people there know a lot about the Dolphins and know well enough to not allow anyone to swim with them those dolphins can be very playful and dangerous to swim with

I know! So awesome to see them doing that in the wild, just for fun!

People need to stop worrying about the 'potential cost' of the trip and just enjoy the content!
@Pauldjreadman8 жыл бұрын
LaazrGaming I agree. However a lot of these trips are sponsered and people are interest of the cost. People are curious especially with scenery this damn good
@porpoisedrivenlife84748 жыл бұрын
But then they would whine about the "pro-Maldivian propaganda" angle, so carping about the cost is better.

louis i think you should really try to spread more awareness about coral bleaching and the terrible condition our oceans are in. you have a huge platform and i think you could really make a difference with that. maybe team up with some organizations and encourage people to donate or volunteer? that would be amazing!:)

I might suggest: (Google) Waves of Trash / Indo.

Sonja Pelkonen as you are aware, he already does with beach cleaning up. Maybe the reef is the next logical step? :) why don't you email him about it?

I think he will be very interested in that. We all know Louis loves the ocean. He has been using ocean safe sunblocks for quite a while now.

You do realise that Coral Bleaching has nothing to do with rubbish, its caused by warmer sea temperature, so the main cause is global warming, so if you want to stop coral bleaching you have to stop global climate change.

Hey Loui, 1 Month ago I was in SriLanka and we travelled around the island. So I have some suggestions for you: - Trincomalee, Pigeon island: there you can see many many blacktippedreefsharks (I was at one time surrounded by 5or 6 sharks :) - to Nuwara Elia: the train is definitely worth a ride And the "city" really looks British (also the wether is British) And don't buy the "panorama ticked" for the train. It isn't worth it. (There is not a big difference) - Dambulla: if you want to see some amazing temples - sigirya: the sigiryarock is also really amazing - and if you want to see elephants than go to the "Minneriya Nationalpark" or to the "yala np" but the yala doesn't has so many elephants like the Minneriya And if you want to see some impressions than you may go to my KZbin channel and watch my SriLanka video (only if you want to. This shouldn't be an ad for me)

Ella rock is a great hike with a beautiful view at the top! Also try out Welligama Bay forsurfing and Arugambey is beautiful! Like Felix said also do Pigeon Island, the train and sigirya rock. Udawalawe National Park is a fun jeep safari, loads of animals to see! If you go to a small town called Hikkaduwa there's the Tsunami picture museum - really interesting and moving to look at. Galle Fort is a lovely fort town with loads of shops and restuarants right by the coast. Kandy is great and there's the Temple of Tooth which has Budda's left tooth in it. There are ceremonies everyday at 5am, 9am and 6pm - definitely go to that!

Louis, I went to Sri Lanka this summer for two weeks! Definitely go to Unawatuna and Mirissa, and the nearby town of Galle. The beach at Unawatuna is incredible and it's such a laidback place. Also go to Nuwara Eliya in the center of the country. It's full of tea plantations and the scenery is beautiful. It's also a nice break from the humidity of the coastal lowlands, as Nuwara Eliya is located up in the hills. I also went to Yala Safari Park on the south coast, which I would definitely recommend.

Spent 10 days driving around Sri Lanka and these were my favourite places to visit: Sigiriya Rock (such amazing history and the views at the top are amazing), staying in the town Ella (which is so different from the rest of Sri Lanka) and walking on the train tracks up to Little Adam's Peak, take the most scenic train trip from Ella to Kandy and finally seeing all of the temples. I think that in the 10 days we spent there we visited 12 temples! Enjoy your trip to Sri Lanka :)

I went to Sri Lanka in the summer and it was incredible, I would defiantly recommend climbing to the top of Sigiriya (if you do make sure you go up very early to avoid the rush), visiting the temple of the tooth in Kandy especially when there is a service on, The Dambulla caves and taking the train to Nuwara Eliya from Nanu Oya (the viewing carriage is the best place to sit) to visit the tea plantations.

I'm envious that you are going to Sri Lanka! I've been there twice many things to see- Kandy is lovely, nice scenic train ride from Colombo, Galle Fort- nice old colonial buildings, Unawatuna is nice but on previous visit it was over touristed! Marissa they have Whale watching but not sure if its the season or not. Either Yala or Udawawe National Parks are good, apparently Leopards at Yala but I didn't get to see any. Also if you like ruins the 'Cultural triangle' is very interesting. Also Tea country- Nuwar Eliya and ella very scenic and beautiful although a little cold!

Hey Louis, Just this summer I went backpacking around Sri Lanka for three weeks and I would strongly recommend Trincomalee along with the Sigria Rock (amazing, super interesting and impressive, a rocks with old temple ruins on it over 250m high) along with the Minereya National Park. Sooooo many elephants, you can get really close. In one week there probably wouldn't be more time to do much else but MAKE SURE you take the trains, cheap and so amazing, its as if colonial britain and nethererlands was awoken again. Otherwise, other places to visit include, Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya (Hortan Plains and Worlds End), a vertical cliff face drop from the mountainous regions of Sri Lanka ivolves gettinga fantastic train ride and being above 3000m. Finally Ella is also very nice.
