Ph-Italian fusion food What most people think it is: Sweet ragu over spaghetti noodles What it actually is: 1. Any pasta recipe that uses sausage, just replace the sausage or cured fatty pork with any Philippine sausage, adjust everything else, and to be classically Ph, you use dry Edam instead of Pecorino Romano or Parmigiano. Also scallion, leek, or chive replaces any parsley used, or just outright added. 2. Filipino dishes used in pasta. Like shredding adobo but toss in pasta (instead if ramen) and add (Edam) cheese. Or laing or caldereta for lasagna. Tuyo/niboshi in oil then used for pasta (but can't call it aburasoba/mazasoba because it's all mixed together in the pan). Same thing with the scallion, leek, and chive. 3. That "arancini." (I'm gonna put that in quotation marks because that rice does not look like it used to be risotto) 4. Ube etc cannoli. 5. Ever had adobo pizza? Tip: add the buffala cotija at the end because this stuff tastes good but it's terrible for baking in anything that isn't saucy.

Not a fan of cha cha. Clumpy bland matcha and if you don't get ice, they don't fill up the cup fully unlike every other spot. Red Feather was pretty good. Loved the dessert like you. Found the mains pretty good. A bit pricey.

Filipino food is great but we just keep showcasing the same dishes over and over again probably since most Filipino diaspora peoples come from that one tribe/region e.g. Manileños and southern Luzones which is a very small fraction of our culture/history. There's so so much more than what this one of many pinoy tribes keeps putting out there! Diaspora peoples, try to represent the whole of the Philippines po

I'm from the south of PH in a decently progressive area but the food scene is crap outside of Luzon and Cebu. Not to mention almost first world prices for mediocre dishes. I'm tired of living in a braindead, unsophisticated area. 😭😂

The Viet dude didn't even correct them when they pronounced bo kho wrong ...like come on here 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. Understandable the Fung Bros don't know how to pronounce but at some point speak up or at least Fung bros should do some research on how to pronounce things properly beforehand. It's pretty disrespectful these days to improperly pronouncing people's name because it is deemed "difficult" and that's the same with food too. Overall ridiculous, and it's hard to take Fung Bros seriously on Asian American issues when they can't even do the bare minimum for the culture.

Because Filipino Cuisine isn’t that totally "Asian Taste" we usually hate spicy taste because it empowered the usuall taste of our food, probably the "Asianese" people loves spicy but we’re different our taste are very Savory, very sweet and very salty foods not surprising because tropical island country. We’re the Impostor country in ASIA continent 😂
@rloco802 жыл бұрын
Well everyone has different taste buds I guess, but I strongly disagree. Cause for me not only is Filipino Food one of the Best tasting Asian Foods, its one of the Most Delicious foods in the whole World. I love it as much as Chinese food, Mexican food, Italian food, ect. Don't get me wrong I like Vietnamese food too and even I admit that their Pho is one of the Best tasting soups I ever had. But other than that, Filipino Food satisfies my taste buds more than Vietnamese food.
