I was in the Twin Cities and no less than two times, South Korean tourists asked whether I was Korean. People who keep insisting THEY KNEW who's whom by "just looking at them" are lying. If Native American confused YOU, a Hmong, for Natives from the Arizona tribes... and if SOUTH KOREANS asked me, a Hmong, if I was one of them, ON AVERAGE, we can't really tell in real life, on the street, if we meet other groups... outside of those very easily stereotyped (the very dark, very pales, very tall, very short, very ugly, very handsome, etc. that they PRE-LOANDED into their brains from watching popular shows and moves... as to how this or that group SHOULD look like; but those are largely MADE up, artificial/superficial, being their heights). Roughly 99.99% of South Korean women DO NOT look like the dozen or so surgically cut & grafted, in endless expensive operations, South Korea movies actresses... When I told my nieces & nephews that SOUTH KOREANS confused me for one of them, they say, "Uncle... you don't look like a South Korean." But what my nieces and nephews --- younger and less experienced in life, much more influenced by FAULTY pop culture beliefs --- meant was: "Uncle, you are NO 6'1" South Koran actor..." But, again, they don't realize is that the AVERAGE South Korean LOOKS more like I am THAN THEY LOOK like that 6'1" Korean actor (or actress) who have dozens of expensive plastic surgeries... BTW, I have a brother who has lived his entire adult life in Japan, teaching and living among Chinese. He majored in Japanese in college; his mannerism and everything is Japanese (as a toddler crazy with Japanese animation in the 1990s. After 15+ years of living in Japan, speaking only Japanese, few if any Japanese could tell he's not Japanese. They MAY think he has a tiny accent; but they likely would say he's "probably" from another prefecture.... ON AVERAGE ---- outside of the very big, very small, very dark, very white, very stereotypical ---- you simply CAN'T tell people apart, in terms of "who is whom." That's just pop culture; it's not reality. In reality, and for about 90% of people in the "middle" or any range... it is RALLY HARD to tell us apart, within a certain group. Once I had a very pale Mexican American student and her LAST name was spelled YUKASE. I swear I must have asked her a few times whether she's Japanese or whether she had grandparents who came from Japan. Nope, she said. I am 100% Mexican! If she were to stand among a bunch of Japanese girls, NO ONE would have been able to tell "she's definitely not Japanese."

And Jomon were supposedly shorter than the later-arriving Yayoi. He was from Kyushu, far away from most of the Ainu in Northern Japan/Hokkaido, and Sakhalin. If I were to ever get a DNA test, it sure wouldn't be from 23 and Me. I would rather get one through some legit DNA testing service in Japan, if there are any. Most normal non-racist woman don't care about races okay (like if you are normal, nice, smart, kind East Asian dude you will be picked by normal nice and smart girls who are everywhere), if you are looking for attention in the wrong places (like you are in a very monolith place that prefer one type of look over the other, or you are looking for the vain ones who care if you are super well off first and first most/baddies who only care about tattoo and gold chains then good luck those Bs will only date the bad looking tattoo whatever looking dude lol). Also not sure if you have negative energy in real life maybe that is why most normal woman are not attracted. Would recommend changing up attitude if needed, and having normal attitude that is more optimistic about life than salty is more important than look. If you are looking hoping for more attention from lots of females all over, rather than choosing to dating normally and meet someone with the right matches in terms of personality and outlook , then good luck most normal women these days don't have the energy to provide attention to random dude no matter how good looking they are. Some women are the same and complaining no guys like them, because most of them are looking for attention in the wrong places lol. In major North American cities, I see lots of average Asian dude with partners of same race or different races walking around, and they don't have issue finding someone they like. Like most humans of all races are average looking anyways lol. But yeah of course Western Media do try to push a certain narrative about ideals and stuff, but don't fall for that shit yourself. If you fall for it, you will be stuck in that negative loop.

Genetic studies indicate that the Japanese are the result of the mixing of three human groups, the Yellow River Farmers (60%), the Amur River Farmers (20%) and the Jomones (20%). The first settlers of Japan are the Jomon, they arrived from Siberia, they are a divergent lineage from East Eurasia, genetic studies indicate that they are related to the Hunter Gatherers of the Altai (Siberia), in addition to having an affinity with the Native Americans. The eyes were big, had a larger and more pointed nose, considerably darker skin, and were more prone to beards than modern Asians. The Yellow River Farmers is the main genetic component and is closely related to the Han Chinese (95% Yellow River Farmers), these Continental Asian Farmers are responsible for the typical characteristics of East Asians, light skin and epicanthic fold, The third component is from the Amur River, this component is closely related to the Mongols or Tsungusic peoples, the Koreans are a mixture of 80% Yellow River Farmers plus 20% Amur River Farmers.

Some humans are uneducated and like to stereotype others. Who care if big or small or almond shaped or hooded or whatever eyes, like beauty and handsome come in different forms and everyone has different taste and stuff anyways. Now with Han Chinese, it is mixed bunch of looks of whatever. Most Han Chinese has almond shaped eyes that can be hooded eyes with inner lids or small double eyelids (not super big doubles like them Indian or Some Europeans or Middle Eastern and not really monolid like Siberian and typical Mongolian). I said most and not all, there are some that fall into the other side of course. The Han Chinese that have more almond bigger eyes with double lids and most likely are people from south east or south west areas in China or even north western plains Han chinese. Whereas some of the monolids Han Chinese typically come from Northern and North Eastern China typically, some here also can have almond size eyes too that are the ideal look. Han Chinese are different depending on the areas they are from, including Central Plain and North Western Han (中原地带central plains Gansu, Shannxi, Shanxi etc will have sharper features can be big almond eyes or monolids, and most people there are taller too), Jiangnan 江南地带水乡(east central water towns rice and tea folks, not as southern as others and are typpically know for Jiangnan beauties and most have almond shape eyes and standard Chinese beauty/hansome if people go to Anhui, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi), Shangdong Han, Dongyi东夷/Xianbei/Jurchen鲜卑 (North East Dongbei Three provinces and more northern folks and also Shangdong folks are the representation for being the tallest in China and has the most Chinese Fashion Models according to Stat), Mongolian Steppes 蒙古平原 (the grass plains and desert people who are typically more robust looking and bigger cheekbones and stuff), Bashu 巴蜀文化(southwestern mountains regions where mystical Shangri-la are located the people face are more sharper looking as well and can be super pale or tan which is the interesting factor), Tibetian藏族 (the tibetian high land people who are also in the south western part of china), Hui回回/Muslim/Central Asia folks on the silk road line (of course they will lean towards less monolids and more double lids or bigger eyes, but depends on person and some can look more mixed and other more East Asian leaning and as well like how Uyghur in Turpan areas can look more Han than not), and South Eastern people Fujian (mixed of northern and southern and people are are more in common with folks in Taiwan on average) and on average still consider more northern compared to other southern provinces like Canto/Guangdong/Guangxi (these people past history include central plains Han and them minorities like Miao苗疆, Baiyue百越, Nanman南蛮, people here can have sharper features like North Western Chinese or rounded features since similar ancestors as Austronesians in southeast asia and have close relations with). A lot of people in China are now mixed and features are not as easily identified as having one kind of northern look or southern look. Like some Han Chinese from North Western China can look kinda mixed with whatever to the nearby countries in Central Asia and stuff, and some North Eastern Han Chinese can look Korean and Mongolian or Siberaian, and some southern Chinese can look Thai or Filipino or whatever, and only to outsiders/foreigners that will point it out, whereas in China people don't even care that much what kind of Asians you look like and if you speak Chinese and can look like from East Asia, North Asia, Central Asia, and South East Asia, people will think you are Chinese lol. If you ask most Chinese people think central asian look can be distinguished from Chinese, most likely will be like they look North Western Chinese, because there exist a bunch of North Western Han Chinese that might look so called kinda mixed looking and also Minorities in Xinjiang (like Kazazh in Xinjiang, Uyghur in Xinjiang, small population of Russian In Xinjiang, and Kygry in Xinjiang, Tartar in Xinjiang, and others). And also if South East Asian who go to China and most Chinese people will think of them as Chinese as well if they speak Mandarin or whatever, since they can pass as some minorities from Southern provinces like Guangxi and Yunnan and stuff too.
@weifan95333 ай бұрын

Yes, Even I've noticed in a lot of Chinese Tik Tok videos that many chinese recently started looking like Super Models with Tall, sharp features and almond eyes which is completely opposite from the 80's, 90's image of chinese where they were stereotyped as short looking people with monolid small eyes.
@UniverseTruth-e4m3 ай бұрын
@@ashaypallav4158 That is because before until the last 10yrs there is no actual Social Media. Some people like to stereotype when they only see the Southern Cantonese old grandparents who are on the shorter side and those are some of the first wave who immigrated to the West. But funny thing is that most Canto are not Monolid and eyes usually are round. Most Han Chinese not even including the minorities in China, have almond eyes that are not monolid/smaller comparatively (smaller eyes with more fat deposit near the eye area are more a Mongolian and Siberian leaning trait) and not bigger eyes as them Southern European or Indian and Black people (yes some Black and Indian and European and other folks can also have smaller and or hooded eyes too). Most Han Chinese have what we called almond eyes (could be hidden inner lids or small double lids eyes) that is not big nor small okay from the Chinese Beauty/Handsome aesthetic sense (maybe for other races they think the eyes are smaller not as ideal maybe). And for sharper features from your perspective are normal Han Chinese features, like just because a person looks good does not mean he or she have to have sharpe features only, looking good is basically fitting the golden scientific ratio and perfect blend of sharp and roundness accordingly (bunch of Black models with round features are golden ratio too, and they are photogenic because of the ratio and not because they have to have sharp features like other races). Han Chinese in China has always been a melting pot of Northern, Central, Southern, Western and Eastern Tribes and has been mixing for generations, so in no way can you say one look is Han Chinese and another is not Han Chinese. Also with better nutritions for people born after 90s/00s in China and especially the younger generations born after 90s/00s are more into Fashion and keeping up with with the trends on the Runways so that might also play into looking like Fashion Models.

Actually, Kyle was often typed as Cambodian when he asked ppl on some of his street interviews. Re: white/ Jewish media, yes they have a biased view of what being Asian is. They think that we all look like Bruce Lee/ Jackie Chan/ Lucy Liu/ Daniel Kim (from Lost). Btw Daniel Kim has darker skin even if he's Korean - there are some dark-skinned Koreans/Chinese etc. Unfortunately, they're looked down by the majority of their populace (in Kor or CN) because of the stereotype that dark = poor/ peasant class. Koreans (in Kor) also look down on SE Asian people (or anyone from a country which is poorer & darker than theirs) - but that's another story.
@OGtruthserum3 ай бұрын
@@kitty_s23456 Kyle Le isn't Vietnamese, he is not a Kinh. Only real Vietnamese are Kinh. One out of four Vietnamese you see in Vietnam are not Vietnamese even with Vietnamese name and speaking Vietnamese. Unlike Japan, Vietnam has 54 ethnics group residing in it, with the Kinh majority being the only true Vietnamese. We have Hmong, Muong, Tay, Dai, Thai, Cham, amongs other who are not Vietnamese but are living in Vietnam. Muong people are the closest looking to us but they too are not Vietnamese. Vietnamese are light skin, big eyes, tall noses, however with the Nam Tien movement to the south (400 years ago), many Vietnamese mixed with Cham and Cambodians became more darker in appearance with round noses. However, in the U.S you don't see the original Vietnamese group since Northern Vietnamese are oversea in Europe and not the U.S. I'm one of the rare Northern Vietnamese that live in the U.S. However, my family escaped to the south and fought the communist regime, but based on my look, I am not a southerner. In fact, I was bullied by other Vietnamese in school for looking so different from them. Imagine being bullied by your own people after losing all you friends and family in Vietnam. I grew up and still do hate Vietnamese Americans. Northern Vietnamese (original Vietnamese) are better looking but you won't see them in American media because they don't live in the U.S nor were they seen during the Vietnam War. Which is why by the time I showed up to college and got attention from beautiful white girls, they were shocked, dumbfounded, and confused why I looked so different. But I am not unique, just rare here in the U.S. Nowadays, there are many Northerners in Southern Vietnam, however the group that immigrate to the U.S are all Southern Vietnamese. Vietnam today is more progressive than in the past so Northern Vietnamese are everywhere in Vietnam. When I visit Vietnam, I feel a closer connection to Northern Vietnamese based on look even if they are not as friendly as Southern Vietnamese. Their mannerism (northerner) is closer to me and the original Vietnamese accent is sexy! I love being Vietnamese if you couldn't tell.
@kitty_s234563 ай бұрын
@@OGtruthserum how can you say that "only Kinh are the real Vietnamese"? I think that's discriminatory. I think if one was born in a country or has genetic roots in that country, then one can claim that country, whether they're pure blooded, mixed or whatever. Kyle Le was born in the US (or was brought there as a very young child), but for sure his parents were born in VN and had Viet citizenship prior to immigrating to the US. So that makes him Vietnamese (or Viet American) in my book. If you watched some of his vids involving his family, his family had genetic diversity - some are light skinned, some are darker. Yes, I have seen and mingled with people from North VN. They were mostly fair skinned and had smaller eyes. They looked similar to Uyen Ninh (a Viet KZbinr who lives in Germany) or Thuong (wife of Two Wheel Cruise, another KZbinr). My mom is Vietnamese (from the South) and my dad is Filipino. I look generic SE Asian - I can pass for a local in any SE Asian country. I also passed as local in HK, Taiwan and Korea, because I have slightly smaller eyes. My mom is darker than most Viets but that was because of sun exposure. Some of her siblings had fair skin - it's just diversity among siblings. If you believe that only the Kinh are the "real" Vietnamese and that their physical traits are more attractive and desirable, then that's your opinion and I'll respect it (but not agree with it).

Ohhh I can't stand it when East Asian with round eyes are considered 'un-Asian looking' for not having monolids. I myself and my mother don't either. And we still look obviously Korean, not mixed. This western - or white folks' perception - idea of Asian features is what caused outrage when Vogue had Gao Qizhen on the cover. Small eyes, very low nose bridge, and short. Now, the uproar is also due to her looking very unusual and alien (let's be honest - she's not beautiful in any country's beauty standard and looks strange), but western fashion magazines gaslighting the viewers that Asians don't have a variety in the looks also caused the outrage. Like, why are all the Asian models hired always ones with monolids, high cheekbones and far set eyes? I have seen a good number of Asians with double eyelids and nose that's not flat - and these features don't neccessarily make you look attractive (actor Shin HyunJoon has big eyes and a high nose bridge but he isn't considered handsome). How come those features are not featured in western media?
