There is nothing like a Monty Alexander show. Being in the room with him and his band is the best tonic one could ask for. The love, joy, and groove present is life changing and eminently fulfilling. His “Easter eggs” of melodies spiced in and out of each performance just make me happy. And the band… my goodness🔥🎶🔥🎶🔥🎶

Oh no, has he died? I hope not! But unbelievable and fantastic is just what i thought when hearing his solo album 'So What'? Really ALL songs are executed beyond virtuosity! Especially So What and Worksong. I have never heard anyone playing basslines and chords like he uses Every single note on the keyboard. And man how he swings!!!
