@@darknight10000 At this point I genuinely cannot remember if there's an official canon basis for his culinary skills or it's purely a fanon (fan-made "canon") idea that's spread like wildfire. 😄 But it makes a lot of sense with his character. Catherine's addiction and/or illness would've majorly impeded her ability to take care of daily tasks like that. And then Jason eventually went from poverty and an unstable home to outright homelessness and being orphaned. Just getting enough food to survive would've been a huge thing for him. And between his background and his close relationship with Alfred after being taken in (though I'd say the relationship and the cooking would each fuel the other), it would've been really logical for Jason to be very enthusiastic about food and cooking and about learning the skills needed to prepare his own meals and take care of himself in that regard even if he didn't technically have to anymore. Someone also made a great point about how it probably felt really good mentally and emotionally to go from being in survival mode and basically having the need for food control him to instead being able to master culinary skills and be able to control his experiences more rather than feeling relatively helpless (and to have food be a matter of joy and not just desperation). I can't recall if the Wayne Family Adventures comic has shown Jason cooking yet (in fact, readers noted he was conspicuously absent when his siblings assembled to absolutely mangle a holiday meal. …Smart man, Jay. XD), but that would be the perfect place for it.
