Funk Volume challenged any rap group in hip hop to a battle for 500K. The announcement was made on Sway In the Morning. Horseshoe Gang, at Crooked I's urging, fired the first shot with 'Half A Meal'. Funk Volume returned fire a week later with 'Free Meal'. Just a few hours after Funk Volume's Free Meal, Horseshoe Gang came right back with the track 'Same Day'.

Myles Daye funk volume didnt come close. Jarren and dizzy had good verses, but hopsin contradicted himself. And did you say "know lyrics"? How old are you? 15? +DJJekyllTV It's a good point about hopsin, compared to dizzy and jarren I don't think that he did a very good job. However, what i didn't like about horeshoe gang's diss track was if you're going to initiate something, you need to basically make it your best diss track. I don't think that was the case with horseshoe gang. The concepts in the first diss wasn't very personal and didn't go as hard as the second diss, which kills all of their hype. It was like meek mill's diss track, there was so much potential to rap about (degrassi, etc) but all meek talked about was other people writing drake's lyrics. Horseshoe gang just threw in a bunch of hooks and had good flow but they weren't rapping about stuff that really took funk volume down like the second diss (dizzy being short, funk volume being immature, racoon hat, crooked, etc) but the hype was already over after funk volume's reply because fv went pretty hard and were rapping about horeshoe gang personally (career being desperate/unsuccessful, wearing shirt and ties, needing to "get a job", saying they dont like trap etc). Although hopsin wasn't that great, i thought jarren and dizzy went really hard (jarren saying you could have sex with my wife but she doesn't like pussy for an example) and that made up for it because horshoe gang didn't rap as personally/went as hard as the second diss. Thoughts?

To Fef, his nickname is Cody Macc but rap name is Cozz. I think he will battle out of all the other Dreamville artists. Dreamville is one of the dopest hip hop groups out but they are not actual battlers. I respect everyone's opinion and I think Funk Volume is hella dope but I agree with Mike, Slaughterhouse would destroy them. I think that Strange Music and Slaughterhouse should go against each other (group wise). Individually, I would like to see Eminem, Killer Mike, Black Thought, Cassidy, and Kendrick all battle. I don't know how people can even compare these two groups. Sure, HSG responded on the same day. Doesn't matter. Hopsin's verse wasn't that long, but he still did his work and destroyed them. Jarren and DIzzy then came back with unbeatable verses. Not comparable. I haven't heard a group that could've fucked with FV when they were together.
