***** Try listening to his projects in their entirety, but tbh with DOOM it seems like most people that enjoy listening to him absolutely love that underground or OG Hip-Hop sound. If you got time try listening to MM FOOD, Madvillainy, Born Like This, DOOMSDAY & Take me to your leader. I love every one of those projects especially lyrically, that's the reason why I'd put DOOM up there as the most consistent MC of all time. As for Black Though, the Roots discography is just filled with too many undeniable classics
@GQSam1

+MusicIsAWayOfLife123 Idk there are a couple of DOOM projects that were iffy for me. Still a great MC. I still don't like his collab w/ Bishop Nehru. But then again that might not count because that album seemed like it was Nehru ft. MF DOOM. I think DOOM's best projects are Madvillainy, MM FOOD and Operation Doomsday. JJ DOOM was kind of a miss for me..

@@thomasnelson5758 Idlewild is nowhere near bad imo. It’s incredibly solid but solid just seems jarring because all their other albums ranged from great to down right masterpieces and also because it’s their last album. OutKast really are the most consistent artists in hip hop. 5 great-amazing albums, one solid one, one great Big Boi album and 2 solid ones after that, an amazing run of features from 3k and his beautiful and overlooked EP he put out, “Look Ma No Hands”.

+Rohan Mishra So Kanye changes his sound up multiple times and he's punished for that? 808s shifted the whole genre and told rappers they could sing. T-Pain did the whole auto tune thing first but Kanye did it to perfection. And whether you like him or not, 808s inspired Drake heavily with his whole rap-sing style. I get not liking the album but you can't deny its impact. And I don't really like Yeezus but it definitely achieved the sound it was going for and was something new. I'd rather that then have Kanye make the same sounding album over and over. Talking consistency though, CD had that signature soul sound that inspired a hell of a lot of today's artists. LR expanded on that with a darker tone. Graduation ushered in the end of the gangsta rap era and killed 50 cent. Not to mention MBDTF...

Plus i'd argue that about 75% of everything he puts out is good, other than that, I'd say jay z, future, big krit, currensy, I could name more but im kind of going off the quantity more than quality.

If I had to choose MC I'd had to choose Kendrick Lamar for the new school with 5 classic projects: Kendrick Lamar EP, Overly Dedicated, Section 80, Good Kid, m.A.A.d city, and To Pimp A Butterfly If I had to choose and MC from the old school I'd say Jay-Z because he made many projects without loosing touch from his golden day finesse. BUT, there are MC's and there are ARTISTS so there's that to put on the table... For the new school there is a tie in between Drake and Future (Yes you read that right, Future..) now I say Future because both Drake and Future have many things in common: They can make themselves vulnerable and exposed in their songs and the can both can shift in between Hip Hop to R&B. So in conclusion, even though Future makes street bangers and is considered the current "King of The Trap" he still can tell a story in his songs and do it well, and the same for Drake. For the most consistant old school ARTIST I'd say Nas because he's like an older generation's Kendrick but with more sentiment in his verses.

In the case of Drake, I'm a huge Drake fan and like WATTBA and IYRTITL, but they are a step down from what So Far Gone, Thank Me Later, Take Care and NWTS. I am expecting big things from Views.

I know I'm late as fuck but Phonte... From Little Brothers albums and mixtapes to Justus League to the Foreign Exchange projects and his solo shit... I can count on two hands the amount of verses that were just meh... I've never heard a wack verse from him.. He has never had a feature (singing or rapping) that was less than a 7/10 and he usually bodies people on their own shit... Phonte is probably my favorite emcee/artist, so I'm a little biased, but I honestly don't think anyone can listen to his entire discography and not be thoroughly impressed...

hey guys can you review/ talk about that Eminem 8 minute long Sway in the morning freestyle (2015) because me and my friends keep arguing whether it actually is a "off the top" freestyle like Eminem keeps on claiming or if he's just saying that. If it was off the dome like he says it was then ........damn.

I'm just wondering if TPAB didn't come out, would people still say Kendrick is wack? I honestly appreciate the production and lyrics on all his albums to date. I can understand if you don't fuck with Kendrick sonically, but his lyrical ability has NEVER fell off but has gotten better. I know there's some who are annoyed by people mentioning Kendrick, but understand that I do know other artists that are consistent, just not as consistent as Kendrick
