I was 18 as well! Wow ! Just graduated high school entering college. He was young Frankie then. You had to be there, and being from New Orleans it was all the buzz . He actually did two shows that night. The Seanger theater was rocking man🎵🎶!

It's funny for years people were saying he needed to stop, but they never stopped playing his music or going to his concerts. I attended many concerts in Philly & Los Angeles. BIt was the vibe & the loyalty & then love until the end. I'm so glad to have attended his farewell tour in Philly July 4th. Always & forever a fan & truly heartbroken of Frankie's passing.😢

I'll never forget the one time I saw Frankie and Maze at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in (I think it was) 2012. It had rained all day and I was standing in ankle-deep mud. The weather was miserable but I hung in there anyway and refused to leave until I heard "Golden Time of Day" and "Happy Feelin's." R.I.P. Frankie. As we say here in New Orleans, "You done good!"
