Down to clown if it means the day goes on longer, Bella is the type of friend who can turn anything into an adventure/experience. Her sincerity is simply magical, as is her ability to finger pick (how does she do it?!) The Quackster: The carefree duckadee, The Quackster operates by her own rules. While a tad unfocused, this late bloomer is resourceful beyond what's probably natural. Where did the Quackster find that one-hundred dollar bill? How did the Quackster get the good chips first (The spicy ones at the back of the highest shelf)? There's a lot going on in that brain of hers despite her size (don't tell The Quackster I said that, that's the one thing that sets her off, and I heard from Jermaine's cousin that the last kid who mentioned her height got buried neck deep in a rooftop garden!)

It might not be as enticing but I feel like dialogue (VA'ing) wouldn't fit this show. Rather I see each of the animals having their own distinct sound attributed to their voice, with custom subtitles. This way, you could have people talk off screen and still have the exact character recognized by the viewer. Filling out the show would be distinct and wondrously full background with some absolutely awesome funky groovy music. It wouldn't be an amazing, action-packed, leaves you going, "Holy Shit!" kind of show. It'd be a laid back but overall important and thought-provoking experience that leaves you with new questions and motives in life. Each episode exploring a new and often underexplored topic. Maybe the fish is seen as lesser because he immigrated from the Ocean Colonies. Maybe the alligator is always thought to be this rude and horrible guy because he's a predator. Things like that. Okay now I really want to write a pilot episode for this show.

Rabbit Dave was always my favourite growing up - they were really cool and unpeturbed by anything, but not in a dismissive way, and they still showed they cared about their friends a lot. The crush arc kind of came out of left field for a lot of fans, but it showed they could also be vulnerable, and had to embrace that to grow and risk a little, which was really good writing IMO

Terrific work! Plus, I bet these funky little dudes would've gotten a sick liscensed game back in the day, I'm thinking a PaRappa / UJL clone with an explorable hub world and witty dialogue.

I can imagine the show already. Very close-to-the-mic, rough voice acting like Home Movies, sorta scratchy voice acting. Most episodes are pretty aimless and don't really follow an exact plot, but they're mainly about the friends just chilling in their neighborhood. Every episode has its own musical number.

I feel like the show would be short, with only 7 episodes representing the 7 music tracks (not counting the credits). Each episode would focus on different parts and aspects of these characters lives, such as partying or going to a burger joint. The last episode could focus on a crush that the cat character has, and while it wouldn't be a conclusion that people talked about for years upon years after, it would be thought provoking and it would tug on your heartstrings a little. A short series that tries to teach you important values.

Warning its a bit of a wall of text but its kinda cool if you want to relax while listening Vibes i get from each one: Latchkey cats: Friend/parent driving you home, and you're lying down in the backseat. You occasionally see the orange streetlights pass through the windows. Wrapped up in the 5 loose hoodies you have because the driver didnt want you to get cold. Turnstyle Hop: Hearing that good old game intro from your first disc game. Good old Wii/Gamecube that you got from your grandparents turned on for the first time in a decade or two... House party: That walk into the house on the last day of school, feelin like you just graduated college. Nothin new after that day, other than the lack of work, or projects due. Just, calm. Bodega on the corner: Seems that elevator of zoning out kicked in during that meeting/class. Your head subtly bobs to the music, no one noticing, as everyone else is either asleep or doing the same. Darkening, warm light pours through the lightly tinted windows, revealing that floating dust around the room. Heading downtown: Hell yeah! New outfits just came in, after 4 long weeks... You try them on, and they are slightly oversized, but thats good cause you can wear them more! You never go out for fun, but you feel good today... Maybe its the cloths, or the way the neon signs around the city make their own daylight, but you wanna just go around with your closest buddies. Have what the call a "night on the town." Midnight burger joint: 1am. Is it early? Late? Or is it just a nice time to be awake... No loud cars outside, or neighbors in their garage outside, just this minor feeling to do something strange... Did water always taste this good. How the heck did I go through all the tea? I bought some today? I haven't seen this movie in a while, or even used the cd player... Maybe a crush: Want to go to bed but not tired. Want to sleep but not wake up... Of course not forever. A few... weeks should do it. You hum to yourself, and feel like someone you love is humming along with you, and you feel that little swell in your chest, the good kind of chills run up from your barefooted feet to the ruffled hair on your head. End credits: Lil jazz never hurt anyone. Walking around the halls of your workplace/school with headphones on and any song from your phone. Cant hear any loud voices. Like your own little dream...

Funky Friends is about 4 roommates, Jason, Alex, Ray, and Andrew. It follows their hopes and dreams as they all pursue their day to day existences, but also leaves a realistic light on the entire story, so everything feels more like watching some people start a band then watching an episode of friends. The show would focus on generally bringing light to those in life who just want to relax. The Characters: Jason the Cat -Jason is a laid back extrovert, but lacks the courage to stand on his feet. Nonetheless, he knows that he is good at working with his hands rather than his mind, so he does work with woodcarving and painting for local galleries. He knows that he's good at what he does, but he never confines himself, so he is always ready to try something new. -Jason would eventually have a plot point where he reveals that he's been saving money to buy a store from a coffee shop chain, and turns it into a local gallery for all art, called the Moonlight Gallery. The tagline being "From Woodcarving to Comedy, we have it all" Alex the Fish -Alex is a huge mess that you love. The basic combination of Shaggy (Scooby Doo) and Jason Mendoza (The Good Place), he is always the butt of more than one joke, but is always interested in making others laugh. -Alex would end up buying a bunch of bricks, building a brick wall inside of Moonlight Gallery, and he would host stand-up nights there to give people a bit more joy. -Alex would also end up having a progressive romantic relationship with Ray. Ray the Alligator -Ray is a semi-well known musician, and has a personality that fits very well with Jason's, if not a little controlling. They are both laid back individuals, but where Jason lacks courage, Ray has too much of it. Ray enjoys setting up a speaker system with Alex and blasting music during parties, (where he very quickly becomes the life of said party). Ray spends most of his time developing music but also is interested in Agriculture, and likes growing food in a mini-greenhouse he made in his room. -Eventually, he sets up a speaker system around some grapevines to try and make a nice natural looking system. He then sets up said system in Moonlight Gallery to make sure everyone can enjoy some good tunes while they look at the art. He also lends the system to Alex for his stand-up Andrew the Chicken(???) -Andrew is a very smart person, very introverted person, plain and simple. He always wished that he could be a bit less of a small and smart type, but his tiny body prevented such a thing. Eventually after a couple episodes of him talking to Jason about his issues (like on the rooftop of the house party), he decides to accept who he is, and he askes Ray for help to find something for him to do that wouldn't make him feel limited. So using Ray's advice, he starts to do something that will challenge him: Baking. Andrew uses his knowhow of mathematical formulas to make some amazing baked goods, all of them to almost perfection. He realizes how good these baked goods are, talks to his friends, quits his day job, and starts to sell baked goods in the Moonlight Gallery. Season One Finale: After all of the friends have realized some talents they all have, and have learned a lot more about themselves, they all decide to do something they can all do. They start a band. They all start playing funk music for the world to hear, with Jason overcoming his fear of crowds and starts to sing beautifully. Alex knows that he can make people enjoy music more if he keeps their attention to the main instrumentals, so he starts playing bass. Ray realizes that he should stop taking a prideful approach to music, even though he knows it so well. So he decides to work on the keyboard to make sure that everything works in tandem, keeping the beat and keeping the friends functioning. And lastly, Andrew overcomes the issue of his size and picks up 2 sticks, and decides to drum as boldly as he can, making sure that the size of his body doesn't stop the size of the funk. All of the friends play perfectly in tandem, and as the camera pans out of the Gallery, you listen to the funky tunes one last time. 14:11. hire me disney. or louie.

At the end of battles the awaken their hearts to FUNK and help them process that sad stuff(because you can never really "defeat" sadness, just learn to understand it and move on.)

here's my plot for the show: Maurice the Cat along with his friends Will the Croc, Finley the Fish and Quack the Duck have to deal with everyday life in the big city and at school while trying to get popular with their underground band Funky Friends. Also Maurice has a crush on a Hippo girl called Rita (which they would get together in a season finale and be in a relationship in the next season. This is also where the song “maybe a crush” would fit.) Maurice would be the leader and the character viewers could insert themselves into. Will is the tech smart one. Finley is the kind of goofball guy but is always useful. Quack is the little guy who everyone looks out for. The show would be very comfortable and have a nice relaxing vibe while teaching important life lessons which would resonate with all viewers, young and old. The show would end with them winning a big contest and finally achieving their goal as a satisfying conclusion to the series.

I made my own character descriptions: Zack the cat, the calm head of the group, usually just follows his impulses and doesn’t take things to seriously. But, he deeply cares for his friends and has his own worries. Louis the alligator: curious and introverted expressive, Usually shows intentions via small body movements. Tries to enjoy himself, without over exertion. But becomes more open when communicating with others on a personal level. GUP the fish: The energetic member of the party who likes to express himself openly, messes around, and babbles on and on about things. He just wants to do something. doui the duck: The young one, not quite as energetic as Gup but has a childlike energy and mindset, enjoys simplistic activities, but prefers to physically distance himself from large groups.
