I'm so glad you are back Dineva...here is my personal assessment of the situation. I remember back in Season 2 Kandi stated that she comes from a family of single mothers. Her grandmother was a single mother as well as her mother and herself. I think the aunties may have been single mothers as well but I'm not 100% But anyways Kandi is trying to break that cycle so her daughter won't know what its like to grow up in a house with no man/father figure. The devil sees this and is trying with all his might to make sure that Kandi keeps the "family tradition" alive. I really believe that Todd loves Kandi and is not out to get her. Kandi needs to be a bit more forceful (but not disrespectful) with her mom staying out of her business.
