Kouha and Eiha is easily one of my favorite additions to reload since I hate how Ken is overshadowed by the superior elec user (Akihiko) and kinda glad he got his own element and I really hope he and Koromaru get both of Boost and Amp for their separate elements...also I can't wait to use P5 party members Personas! Obviously I'd make a rule for my own so I wouldn't break the game and it's simple "fuse them before you use em"

I think one of the biggest disappointments going backwards 5, 4, 3 is learning that we couldn’t choose which skills get inherited. FES definitely lacked so quality of life features but that makes it fun in its own way. The limitations made you play the game differently compared to 4-5.

You can reroll the skills in the game's without manual inheritance if you back out and reselect the fusion materials it'll give you different skills. Pretty much every Megami Tensei game lacked manual skill inheritance until Devil Survivor 2 (2011)

It’s honestly disappointing that Orgia mode and Oracle are special abilities now, there’s no risk to them and they might not be there when you need them most anymore. The Monad doors thing sounds alright, but it kind of implies the whole Monad probably won’t exist anymore and if that’s the case, vision quest probably won’t either. I liked those mechanics.

Only issue with gameplay I have was their removal of fatigue. It was such a non issue and added a lot of thematic and plot relevant aspects to the game. That and the bathroom mechanics were funny. Kinda wish they’d pull a HGSS and allow the player to use the mp3 to switch to old songs too. Would be cool.

No male social links and no FemMC really makes this game bittersweet for me, even though I will play and buy it day 1. I liked P3 when I played it back when it was originally released, but I really learned to love it more than any other Persona game in the series with P3P. Playing as the FemMC finally made the male characters in the party interesting (-Ken), I could romance male characters (Ryoji broke my heart, he is my absolute favourite) and I just really loved her vibes with the music and the pink UI. I still, to this day do not know why Atlus chose to not include her as an option. They could have rewritten a lot of the script to make space for two protagonists, or at least adapt the FemMC social links for the male protagonist. Atlus is not an indie studio and Persona is not as niche as it once has been ... they have the money, but still chose not to while some fans continue to pretend that female players don't care about the series.

She was only ever possible because they stripped so much of the game out to fit it into a UMD and it was easier to implement her without much work, but now that P3R is a full on remake they'd essentially have to make another game to just add her in. It is likely to potentially be easier than the original Persona 3 releases for a variety of reasons (theurgy attacks, shift mechanic, no more fatigue, etc.) You can always increase the difficulty!

The lack of FES and FeMC pisses me off. A lot. Fans begged Atlus for a "perfect" version, and Atlus did what Atlus does. I'm still going to get it, though. I'm part of the problem. What no one is saying is whether you can finish SLs with female characters without romancing them. I have no desire for a harem, but I do I want to finish SLs I start.

P3FES was my first Persona game. I’m excited for this version! It’s a shame that The Answer isn’t included, but seeing as how each Persona game gets an upgrade a few years after release (P3FES, P4Golden, P5Royal), it will likely be included a few years from now, along with the FemMC.

I really hope they add The Answer at some point too, and I’m pretty confident that they’ll do it as a post-launch DLC/update, because it’s not like Golden or Royal which added additional content to the main story mode. It’s an epilogue story that basically functions as its own separate thing. I definitely could see them doing it like Future Redeemed for Xenoblade 3.

I never played p3 so i decied to play the p3p on steam release (coming from p4g and p5 series), i already 50h in the game and when i heard p3r coming i just stop played it completly. I HATE every small things that i can do in p4g but can't do it here, i hate i can't choose which skill i want to inherite when fusing personas. I the type of player who always tried to build 1or 2carry persona so most of the time 1or 2persona would have all the elements skill so i don't need to change persona everytime, but since the inheritance random and you need to keep reload to let the skill you want to inherite i reluctant to fusing new persona since all the build in the persona i did before would be gone, reallly massive deal breaker for me AND such simple thing as can't re arrange skill on persona also really annoying. Im glad i stop that crap and waiting for p3r to release

Super excited for this, but vaguely worried about some...thematic stuff? So many of the themes of P3 are about loneliness, isolation, and depression, and in a lot of ways the harder mechanics of OG P3 really supported that. You couldn't control your party members because everybody was isolated and doing their own thing! For quality-of-life gameplay reasons, I'm glad that's changed, and I look forward to seeing more from our party members, but I'm worried that adding in all these P5-esque mechanics is a step towards making SEES feel like a functional, close-knit friendgroup. I don't WANT SEES to be a functional close-knit friendgroup -- that's kind of the point!

Still disappointed of no FEMC, but thank god you can be platonic in relationships as the male protag. That was the one thing I was uncomfortable with playing as him. I didn't like that you didn't have the option to say no to a relationship and just stay friends.

Why did they keep the arcana reversal BS?... ugh.... that was always so annoying that you would have to waste a whole day fixing a reversal if things go wrong. Guess I just gotta save scum before every social link hangout to make sure that never happens. Maxing out all social links in persona 3 was always so damn tight... especially since Aegis and mitsuru are both only availble in the endgame which results in practically needing to decide between one or the other unless you have a PERFECT track record between the 2 with responses and gifts and such.

Ok so that's a lot of cool additions. I didn't it would add so much extra content and QoL. Unfortunately because I played P3P all those years ago it's not enough for this to be a day one purchase for me. I liked using the female protagonist and what came with her so to see them not include her or FES (which I never had the opportunity to play) makes this not a must buy immediately. I also have a sneaking suspicion that they might make another version with the female protagonist which seems very like Atlus. Even if they don't, its nice to see them continue to toss their female player base to the side.

apparently not a lot of people know that you can actually control your party member in orginal game but you need to be at party social link 5 (if I'm not mistaken) then you need to change their tactic to direct command

P3P makes Direct Command possible from the start. It's the Protect ability that is unlocked for everyone at once at Fool rank 5.

Really think they should have kept the fatigue system as it encouraged you to spread out your dungeon crawling over multiple days instead of doing all in one day. Something I didn't really like with Persona 4 or 5 is that it was always optimal to do the dungeon in one day so you could do as many social links as possible and then you would being doing the dungeon for hours only to completely ignore it for the rest of the month.

Does anyone know if the supported languages apply to all regions? I currently live in Japan, and my US banking address after state tax comes out to 77 dollars, which comes out a bit more expensive than if I paid in yen. Meaning I'll probably just buy the Japanese PSN version, but I want to make sure it has English on it.
