The best pet I ever had was a raven. My husband found him in the wild and he'd been abandoned by his parents. We raised him from a tiny little birdie to a huge guy. Everyone in the neighborhood loved him! So smart and funny! I miss him so much! This was almost 40 years ago. I'd give anything to rescue another raven!

Like my dad used to say they're always raven about something. Ask a child (1-9) I grew up in a very remote logging camp (Camp Vernon) in the North of Vancouver Island ...During the 50's...There were lots of Raven around...One time the loggers found an orphan black tail deer..which became my pet until he grew horns and started butting people ... the story goes the loggers put him down...I still have photos of me and Billy the Deer....PS I enjoyed your story, Linda.

Hi Albert! My favorite picture of Amos, my raven, is of him perched on the handlebars of my son's tricycle. They used to ride like that together around the block. So cute! This was before Amos figured out that he could fly.

I had a parakeet that I loved to let out of his cage to fly around the room and be free. I also trained a cockatiel I cared for. My stepmom clipped it's wings. It was heartbreaking. Birds are born to fly and be free. Wicked old lady.

The only wing clipping I approve of is when it's done for a medical reason. For example, a bird that is determined to fly no matter what, but due to an old injury, cannot fly very well. The wing clipping is for its own safety.

Totally because half the time it’s not accidental like cats n dogs - they actually have a keen sense of humour and mischief. Occasionally one of my cockatiels steps on the others tail to make him face plant - then pretends it was accidental and acts busy with something when he turns around… meanwhile I saw the whole thing including the sneaking over and deliberate foot placement 😂

This is literally one of the best funny animal videos I’ve ever seen. I didn’t really ever think that birds were that cute, or very funny. But this video gave me a whole new look at how cute they can be, sweet little personalities and so goofy, just like dogs! I still believe the birds should be free because they’re meant to fly, and I don’t know if I would ever own one, but I love when people take really good care of their pet birds, especially when they have Cageless homes and they let their birds kind of free roam in their house. That’s awesome!
