I think the explanation I heard is Tetris is won when you get such high scores and it starts going so fast it can't keep up with all the calculations to keep going, so it locks up.

@republicoftexas3261 Actually, it's a bit more involved than that. I'm pretty sure, in this case, the score will happily display all 9s as you get more and more lines. From my understanding, the bug has more to do with how long it takes to calculate the score. As you get to higher levels and get different combinations of lines (singles, doubles, triples...), it can take different amounts of time to update the score. If it takes too long, and the interrupt triggers to refresh the screen, the code can make incorrect assumptions about the state of the CPU and can cause a crash.

For anyone interested: Yes, people only got really good at Tetris fairly recently because of a new technique that makes the button hit your finger instead of your finger hitting the button. It's called rolling, and you basically hit the controller into your finger by hitting the back of the controller with the fingertips of your other hand in a rolling motion. Because the button presses no longer had to be done by a single finger, players got so fast that they could theoretically play infinitely on the game's highest, final speed. But since it was never meant to be played at this speed, or rather this speed was meant to end your game, after changing through a bunch of unintended colors, the game ultimately breaks down, if you clear a specific numbers of lines at a certain point very far into the highest speed. This is what happened here, and it was fully intended. Before, people eventually just lost by filling up the screen, but no one ever made it to that point and hit those specific line clears so that the game breaks.

X-Rays are slightly slower than a conventional photo, so any movement will create a fussy image. Babies bones are tiny, so any lack of resolution would make it harder to diagnose any problem. And the only way to keep a baby still is either to sedate, or a no risk way of putting a holder around them.

Tetris can't technically be beaten, you can just play it until it glitches out hence the score of 999,999. At a certain point the game can no longer register the score and just freezes. You can do the same with other NES games like Duck Hunt.
