I remember when my sons were playing little league and there was thunder but “no lightning” according to the coach I had to show them that it was impossible to have thunder with no lightning and they finally got a delay. I couldn’t imagine the thunder and lightning where every man was nearly jumping into the lap of the man next to them.

@@penguin44ca Memory serves, that was right as the Miami franchise was starting up. I think that the management was so cheap that they hired kids right out of high school to be the grounds crew. That was the first time all year that there was rain on the field and the recent high school graduates had no experience actually rolling out the tarp.
