@@mightygerot4427 I’ll never forget going to a Phillies game with my dad and younger sister (we were around 6 & 9 years old) and we ended sitting next to a 2 men in their 20’s, I guess. Both men were on business in Philly for the week and one of the guys was from Idaho and was telling my dad how excited he was to be at his first MLB game ever. Fast forward a couple innings in, the Idaho guy caught a fool ball and was ready to hand to to my excited little sister but my dad intervened. He told the guy that he deserved the ball, that his daughters had been to way more games than he has & that we had our whole lives to catch one. Of course my sister cried (😂) but that guy was so happy. My sister got over it and my dad bought her ice cream later. Moral of the story, kids will be fine & that won’t ruin the game for them.
