This is totally unrelated to the video but I graduated high school today! I've been watching jack since I was a kid (too young to watch him honestly) and he's helped me through some really hard times. My mom passed in 2017 when I was 12 and Jack's videos are one of the only reasons I'm still here. I binged his videos, especially Undertale. His videos helped me through the depression I felt for years after that and I finally made it! I have good friends, a good life, and Im going to college later this year. Hi Jack, I wanna say you have been a huge part of my life since I was about 12 and found your first FNAF video on the original game. I haven’t been keeping up as much of course now that I’m doing the adulting stuff but I came back just after I heard about your dad. It was a very personal thing as the time for me because my dad was sick and about to die. He had liver failure from HepC brought on by a visit to a POS quack doctor to deal with a bit of benign cancer on his neck who used unclean tools and made my dad leave the damn room to sit in the lobby while they made sure they got it all. He died on July 6th, 2022. I miss him so much it feels like I’m going to just melt into the floor. He was the only person in my entire life who’s cared about me. Everyone else just treats me essentially like a fisherman who caught his first biggest fish. Just waving it around saying “look look I caught one!!!!” Then next week he catches one 4 times as big and I’m history. Somehow I managed to get cursed with one of the worst fates I could imagine. Have your role model for life, best friend, and soulmate in one person, then just nothing. I know it sounds weird cuz he’s my dad but I swear, there’s just no one else I can talk to like I could with him. Every description I’ve seen of soulmate fits, still I know it’s weird. Anyway, just want you to know you are the best and most fantastic distraction a guy like me could ask for. 😁 I wish I could meet you in person. Tell you how much you’ve helped me get through so many different things that I’ve witnessed completely destroy other people. You’ve also been strong yourself. 4:19 About captivity. It’s one of the most important aspects of conservation today. In the case of polar bears there is no ethical way of realizing them bc they don’t have any habitat and in order for the species to survive they need to exist in captivity while we attempt to repair their habitat for the species to survive. I’m Mexican and a year ago a politician released a bunch of axolotls to the lake to which they are endemic to and was promptly reprimanded by biologists and conservationists who explained that he basically just killed 200 axolotls bc the conditions of the lake don’t allow them to live in it. A big reason why they are popular and have as much support as they do is bc they became profitable pets and that’s why we have such a reliable population one them.

Im leaving this comment bc there is a lot of misinformation about captivity however I do understand that there are many situations were it is very unethical especially in places with lax animal laws, like in the US or India for example.

I'm here to second this! At least in the US, any AZA accredited zoo takes EXTREMELY good care of their animals and does so for conservation and education!
